    Hi everyone.

Well I haven't got much further with my wedding planning since my last post, we got a puppy so all our attention has been off the wedding but now that he is settled I thought I would get back to it.

I'm looking into hair and make up artists. How did you ladies go about choosing yours? I find it so difficult looking at pictures online and trying to picture what I might look like. I was thinking that I might just look at those that can do both hair and make up just for ease, what are your thoughts on this? I'm getting married at The Vu in Bathgate, can anyone recommend anyone? My next question is dependent on individual budget but what is about the average you would expect to pay?

    Thanks :o)

I went to my venues wedding Fayre last October and there was a lovely woman who does hair and make up there, I booked her for my engagement party and I liked what she done so I booked her. Im not a makeup type of woman so I wanted to look as natural as possible and I didn't want heavy make up. she done an amazing job and I felt great. What I like about her is that she does both.

On the day hair and make up for Bride £80
    Bridesmaid £70
    and Mums make up £35

He trials are £40 per person for both. I still need to book my trials with her but I would recommend her to anyone and she travels but obviously will add to the cost as she is based in Balloch.

I knew at my sister's wedding who would do my wedding hair and makeup as the lady she got to do hers and me and the other bridesmaid was amazing. So once hubby proposed and we had the church and reception venue confirmed booked she was the first supplier I booked with over a year to go.

Ensure you book someone with a good reputation, check out their websites to see if you like their work, book a trial with them and then take some ideas along with you.

Including the trial, hair and makeup for me and my two bridesmaids cost £300 ish. She was worth every penny!
