2bemrsmanson I was almost exactly the same as you! Me and h2b took an enrichment class together at college doing musical theatre and the first thing I ever said to him was 'please dont drop me' as he was spinning me upside down! lol We were both with people at the time but conversations since have made it obvious we both felt the same about each other since day 1 but both thought the other wasnt interested! H2b split with his ex and a couple of months later (after lots of hints had been dropped from h2b) I split with my ex, and we got together 2 weeks later on valentines day. Been 4 years now and I cant believe how lucky I am to be engaged to him, and cant wait to marry him (even if I do have to wait for 2 years!) lol xxx

I met my H2B at a "Young farmers ball" I'm a townie who got dragged there by a friend who has a farmer mate. He said there was loads more men than women there, so easy pickings, and a chance to wear a nice frock! I was sold on the dress and loads of men!

We met during a musical that my friend was directing. I was in the chorus, and last minute our pianist dropped out so the director and lead character had to take on the piano and asked Matt to step in. Took him 2 days from meeting me to ask me out, but I made him wait a year, and wait for me he most certainly did! :)

Met mine in final year at uni, got chatting as he didn't have any friends in class - it was just one subject where our two different degrees crossed. Thought he was cute but he was a bit creepy as he lurked a bit, we used to call him 'stalker Andy' back in the day! Asked me out that year but I said no and made up that I had a boyf back home, then 6 years later we got chatting on msn and bookface - lulled me into a false sense of security as he was no longer creepy just chatty, then met up with him 2 years later for a uni style catch up (just the two of us) - 9 hours of bar crawling later he told me I hadn't changed since uni and he still fancied me - I was too hammered to take it any other way than a compliment, and we were officially going out since then! Just under 4 years later we're getting hitched! Hope this doesn't come up in his speech!!

I met my h2b exactly 8 years ago today. We met on a night out with our friends. His mate who he was out with was friends with my brother and we all knew him very well, so hung around with them. H2b actually got off with my best friend at the time first, but them she saw a lad who she went college with and fancied so didn't want nothing more to do with h2b. I was 17 and on a girls camping holiday.... he was 18 and on a boys camping holiday. We all meet in this camping field and sat around a camp fire drinking hot chocolate then got drunk.... i thought i was in my tent but actually in H2B's tent and fell asleep... he tucked me in his camp bed and he slept on the floor. I was very embarrassed in the morning but we swapped numbers, went home then started texting and arranged to meet up and went from there.... 8 years later we are getting married and i am sure this story will come up at our wedding somehow xxx

It took a massive pub crawl (Carnage!) for us to make it official (i.e. when I was absolutely trollied) and my friends engineered the whole thing.

I met Karl when my house was having a big refurbishment by the housing association, he was the plasterer. The first day he worked in my house we got talking as it was my day off work, found we had lots in common. I was a single Mum with a 6 year old son and he'd been brought up by his Mum with his Dad not around. My son took a real liking to him but I thought he was too young for me (4 years younger) and I really wasn't looking to meet anyone at the time, eventually my 6 year old asked us to swap numbers and we started texting each other. Now we've been together for 8 and a half years and engaged for 7, we have 4 children including my eldest and we're finally getting married next May.

We met 10 years ago when he was going out with my ex's flatmate. We were pals back then. Then I went off and travelled about a bit working and when I came back 5/6 years later we met up for a drink (in a group of folk I hadnt seen for years) and that night we got together and have barely spent a night apart since. We always fancied each other but we were far to faithfull to mess about out side of our relationships. But when we met again we fell in love pretty quickly. I think he really is my soul mate as cheesy as it sounds. I always knew we would be good together :-)

We were friends for quite sometime on fb and then after a trip to Spain, where he lived, i was chatting on return to UK saying what a fabulous holiday I had just had in Spain. He said, why don't you come again and visit me this time. I thought he was joking but he wasn't. I booked a flight and we were still just friends at that point but over the next few weeks our conversations on FB began to change and we became very close. I was scared we would not get on so well in real life as in cyber space but he met me at the airport and it was if we had known each other for ever. We got on so well and I visited him in Spain at every available opportunity. I moved to Spain a year later and we had the best of times but he got made redundant and after struggling for months we bit the bullet and came back to UK. We were to have got married in spain but got married in the UK last March and we have been married now for 13 months and we are blissfully happy xx

I met Chris just after I turned 17. It was one of my best friend's birthday and a whole bunch of us went to a local theme park (Peter Pan's Adventure Island, in Essex, if anyone's heard of it). We went to separate sixth forms and I was trying to integrate all of my friends, so I brought along my new guy friend from college. Additionally, he decided to bring his best friend from school with him. The friend was very shy, not knowing any of us, but I was instantly attracted to him. As the year went on, I got to see more and more of him and I finally realised I was crazy about him about 7 months later at our mutual friend's 18th birthday. The three of us went out for New Years Eve and the two guys got quite drunk (I didn't, still being underage and being a good girl). He was being very friendly with me so I decided it was then or never, and I asked him out.
He said yes, and 6 years later we're happily married and in our first home. As I said in my speech, he is my first love and he is my only love. I couldn't imagine my life without him by my side.

I met james on the 5th october 2006 on a thursday in my friends local town i had just finished work when she texted me i really couldnt be bothered but she nagged me lol, we had a few drinks at hers then went into town in weatherspoons he was standing by the bar and we just got chatting i really liked him he was funny and sweet we exchanged numbers and went on our first date the next day then after 2 months of meeting up we got together properly now 2 children and a very happy life we will marry next october 5th 2013 on our seventh anniversary x

My little story I made for our wedding site a bit long but I love it - we made our save the dates as a little story chart too(in my photo albums)
I lived in Auckland New Zealand. He lived there too. They met only weeks before he was leaving the country for good. It was at the horse races. He was winning money, she was drinking Champagne - some small talk was had and who knew if they would see each other again (she did hope they would). Then a road trip to Rotorua with friends brought us a little closer to getting together (though she would't ride the chair lift with him - not even once) Not playing hard to get - she was playing it cool of course! They sat up all night chatting - but he liked another, she was sure. So she missed all of his hints / advances! Finally, with only a couple of weeks left of his time in NZ and after misreading him completely, they decided enough was enough of playing it cool and they finally got together. A whirlwind romance in the city and then he was gone. Her first FOLLOW was to Christchurch for his last days in NZ. Then he was off to play in the sea.
6 months later and living by not wanting to know 'what if' she FOLLOWED him to Thailand to spend a month together - with him treating her like gold in hammocks under the coconut trees. Then back to NZ she went (alone) to get her kiwi passport, and he went west - off travelling the world some more.
After 8 long months of emails and the wonderful butterflies in the tummy feeling of excitement for the few telephone calls she got - she FOLLOWED him to a little island in Central America - Utila - where they lived in a cozy little house on stilts for a year working and living the idyllic sand flea island life as scuba divers - such wonderful memories and such amazing friends were made there! It's there they truly fell in love.
But after a year of him making his fortune and her making a whopping $1USD/hr, he went off to spend 6 months travelling South America whilst she went home to Canada to make (and win) some money. In June 2003 they REUNITED (no more following to be had!) and they both moved in with his mum in London, UK where they worked for 6 months before getting itchy feet and heading back to island life this time TOGETHER.
They lived together in a little room on the wonderful island of Koh Phi Phi, Thailand, him teaching scuba diving, her learning how to teach (then finally becoming an instructor). They had visits from family and friends and even met up with friends from long ago throughout their travels. They met some wonderful wonderful friends and more memories were made, but one devastating boxing day shifted their plans and their dreams in a new direction.
So they moved back to London after living the island life and now 8 years later they own their own cosy little home with a garden and have wonderful jobs, family and friends and a FINALLY after 12 years, they have a wedding to plan! Horray!

I was having a bad time with my ex (he'd cheated on me) and my best friend decided that she wanted to see me smile again. her fella at the time was on exercise, he was in the army, so she text him and just said 'give kims number to the first lad you talk to and get him to text her' next thing i knew, h2b text me and we texted none stop for 2 weeks! talking to him was just the boost i needed to get rid of the ex and here we are now! :-) you should find the 'first date' thread out and read about our first date.... i would have never thought id be marrying such a loser haha xxx

That was in the August but we never got together till the January to which then i found out he had left his wife for me. I met hubby 2 be online, but i was at a friends house on some online game thing where the webcams are on... after I went home he asked Anna for my name on the game (which I didnt play) so he had my msn (haha those were the days) and we got chatting in the January he was going through birmingham on the train in the may and stopped off to say hello. Although my friends wouldnt let me go alone so ten of us went and he's really shy and by this point we were good friends in the June my grandad died so the day after the funeral he came down to see if i was ok and took me to the cinema and pizza hut and it went from there neither of us actually asked the other we just persumed lol xx

We met on Plentyoffish, We will have been together 3 years the end of July. We were chatting for over a month on-line, phone etc as we couldn't get a time we were both free. He was working shifts and a BM for his mates wedding at the time. We met when I was on lunch from work and been together ever since. Within an hr of meeting him I knew would marry him. MrsKtoBe - snap!!! I was in a really bad relationship, the guy wasn't interested in the slightest and even, whilst I was in a lot of pain and needed medical assistance, walked off and left me. So, I dumped him by text message from my hospital bed (more than he deserved). A few days later, when i was home, a friend came over and thought it would be fun to go on match, just for a laugh. I ended up chatting away to 3 different guys, one of them Martin. We met in person a few weeks later, and have been together ever since. We met in 2005, moved in together in 2006, got engaged in 2009, getting hitched 2012! Best 7 years of my life, and even though we have had some hard times, he snores loudly and no matter how many times he showers his feet still stink, I wouldn't swap my boo for the world lol :)

My lil story is not so little....
I dont know if anyone remembers me from being on here a few years ago? In a nut shell my ex fiance and i broke up and i fell apart.... not that i still wanted to be with him or owt just everything changed so suddenly and i couldnt cope..... I found it hard to talk to my mum and dad about this so i confided in a woman at work.... she was totally there for me, helped me through it all and even sat and laughed with me wen i went on some pretty hurrendous dates!
All this time she failed to mention that she had an incredibly hot, single son who would be perfect for me.
Time went on and this one random night (ill quickly mention i used to put on events for elderly) where we were all getting ready (as zombies i might add) for a michael jackson tribute show. She told me her son was coming to help us set up. Well I managed to get him to put on our spare michael jackson costume HEEHEE! (ha sorry bad joke).
He spent all night like chatting to me and being just so lovely then a week later asked me on a date.
His mum (my mil2b) came over to me at the end of the night and said "well.... my work here is done"
and the rest they say is history :) xxxx

Some lovely stories on here :) We met through work, at the time h2b worked for a company that made IT stuff and the company I worked for sold it on to customers. We did a lot of calling customers together and realised that we got on very well, we always had such a great laugh whenever we worked together. We started chatting outside of work on msn and by text, and after about 3 months of being friends we went out for 'drinks as mates' but it ended up being the most fantastic date ever and we've never looked back! 5 years later he handed me something sparkly at the top of the Empire State Building, and now our wedding is 11 months away :D xxx

I met my h2b just a month after I finished a horrific 7 year relationship with my wee ones dad. I was working for Ladbrokes at the time and he was a joiner coming in to refurbish the shop. He was tall dark and handsome and caught my eye right away. And i caught his,with him saying to his mate that id be the girl he would marry (even though he was in a relationship at the time!!) Anyway weeks went by with LOADS of play fighting and flirting and he went away to work in another shop for a while. One day he got his mate to ask me to txt him using my own phone as he had a picture he wanted to send me (it was a car with a nickname i got called on it),and so i had his number from then! Unfortunately that was also the night i was going out drinking with friends and i drunken txt him saying how much i fancied him! I woke to a txt the next day with him saying the same,and that he would see me later as we were both working in the shop that day! Awkward! lol. Anyway got there,more play fighting etc and then just as he was finishing up,i went on my break and dragged him to a cupboard and we had a kiss! We have been through some really really tough times together but it only made us stronger. As i said he was already in a relationship,and i had just come out of a relationship so it took a few months for us to get through a lot of cr**. But we are inseperable and he is the love of my life.

As we lived at least an hour away from each other I though it would be over when we got back to the UK, but it didn't! Mine is a strange one... I have been friends with H2B's group of friends for a lot longer than I've known him... My best friend at the time was with one of his friends and I'd heard about him. When he was 17, he crashed his mini and it landed on the roof, with my friend in it. Noone was hurt, but I'd seen the photos of the car on it's roof. I went on to live with my friend, and he had been round several times, but never when I was home so we still didn't meet. My friend and his friend got married, we both went to their wedding, but did not meet then either.. (he was with his then girlfriend, i was sat with my friend's family). Years passed and still I only ever knew of him by name, we never actually met each other. I got into a relationship and had a daughter. Had a bad breakup, was a single mum from my daughter being born in 2006. Then in 2008, we both went to a mutual friend's daughter's christening, I walked into the church and saw him, and instantly there was that 'moment'. He was sat with his sister, I was sat with my friend. At the party after the service, I was chatting to his group of friends, he came over and joined in, but noone introduced us (they all probably figured we had met before as I literally knew everyone else!!)... Everyone arranged to go on to a pub after the party, on the way up there, I asked my friend about him, she said he probably wouldn't be interested as I had my daughter (!) and it was a big thing... We got chatting at the pub, I very badly tried flirting with him (I was out of practice!!), then we went our separate ways. I added him on FB, we chatted a bit for a week, then the next Friday night I got a phone call from my drunken friend who said she'd ran into him, and she had him there to talk to me... Very primary school "my friend fancies you" stuff!! We arranged to go for a drink, met up, started talking and it just went from there. Best date I ever had, we clicked right away and I immediately felt comfortable with him. He tells me that he also had that 'moment' when I walked into the church that day too, and I think it was so meant to be that we had not met before we were both ready for each other...
