Where is everybody having their honeymoon and are you having it straight after your wedding? I don't know if we will be having a big honeymoon straight away, when myself and my h2b spoke about it before we thought about having a mini honeymoon somewhere in England (maybe Center Parcs or the Lake District) so that we could share it with our daughter who will be four. Then when we have had time to save up a little, we were thinking of going on a proper honeymoon. Our dream honeymoon would be East Asia, maybe China or Japan, but I don't know how realistic this is for us. How about everyone else?

It all depends on how much we get (have a honeymoon fund instead of a gift list). We can't afford to go away at all, so thought this was a good way.
Dream destination would be the Maldives. Not sure if this will even be a possible reality though. And it's doubtful we will go straight away if we get enough for a honeymoon as we won't know until after the wedding.

We are looking at Sept which is 2 months after wedding . We will be going to New York and San Francisco with a week at each, yesterday sadly found out it's £4k for hotel alone for my dream one so looking at other hotels for now but I'm sure we will sort something :) San Fran part my H2B is excited about as his NFL team are there so hoping to go watch them :)

We won ours...going to St Vincents in the Caribbean which will be amazing but we received sooo much conflicting advice about when to go. We finally decided to leave a week after our wedding...this way we will be around for family that traveled to see us, but we can still take time away just for us near to the wedding

We don't have any budget for a honeymoon we would love to go to St Lucia but doubt we will we might go somewhere in Europe for a week and go to Florida with Connor the following may. It all depends how much we get as gifts

we're having 4 days in Cornwall straight after the wedding, just the two of us and the dogs, and are hoping to go to Thailand next year. Can't afford it this year with paying for the wedding so it will give us time to save up and have something to look forward to. Plus going to be so nice just to get away and chill out in a cottage in the middle of nowhere for a few days straight afterwards :)

I've always had my heart set on honeymooning in the Maldives. I'm lucky enough to already have been there twice with my mum and it is truly breathtaking - looks exactly the same as all the glossy pictures you see in the mags. I really want to share the experience with my h2b. xx

We want to go someone we'll only ever be able to afford to go once - Caribbean way but found a lovely hotel in Dominican republic that's not extortionate and the most luxurious we'll be able to afford (hopefully!) we get married in April but won't be going anywhere til summer holidays due to working in school. How much we get as a wedding gift dictates where we go though x

We're going to Florida for 3 weeks around a month after the wedding :) Getting a villa which BMans family is giving to us a wedding gift. Disney and Universal is main big things we will be doing but we will also be visiting NASA and a whole bunch of other places. We are thinking about maybe taking a drive down to Miami as well. OH has been to Florida and before we met I never went anywhere abroad before. Always wanted to go to Disney so he took me to Paris one in 2008 and promised he would take me Florida one day.

Everyone else, all of your honeymoon vacations sound lovely too! I hope those of you who are leaving your honeymoon down to your wedding gifts get what you want! My h2b originally wanted to go on a honeymoon the day after the wedding, you know, like they do in movies... he wanted the whole newlywed honeymoon bridal treatment for us both but after thinking about it it isn't very practical for us as we have a little girl and it would mean leaving all of our guests at the venue we are staying in on the night of the wedding. Plus, it would mean that we would have to put the wedding off even longer to save up for it. So we are just having a mini moon at first x

We would like to go to Disney world Florida! We can't afford it our selfs so we are asking for money towards it instead of wedding presents. Also we are getting married in August so it is hurricane season there (I am not going to get stuck in any hurricanes lol!). Sp we will go a couple of months after we get married or early 2016. We are thinking of going to Endimgbrough for a few days after we get married just as a little mini moon :). Xx

lol I'm guessing you meant Edinburgh Clair? If you're going to the Zoo at all do yourself a favour and where comfortable shoes and be prepared for a an uphill struggle as the whole thing is set into a hillside. :)

Oh year Sorry silly auto correct lol!! We haven't though that far ahead but will prob go to the zoo my oh loves the zoo lol. It's ok I don't really where heals any way. I have comfortable shoes I can't walk in heals. We are going to Edinburgh as my oh is scotish (he moved to England when he was 4) and has never been to Edinburgh and I have always wanted to go so we though it would be a nice place to go as a mini moon :). Xx

Clair, me and my h2b went to Edinburgh before for his birthday and it was lovely. It was raining the majority of the time but it didn't change how we enjoyed it. We stayed somewhere called the Sandaig which is about half an hour from Edinburgh centre, but it was lovely. We went to this gorgeous seafood bar there which did THE best lobster we have ever tasted. Every time we talk about Edinburgh we always talk about it. I think you would enjoy it there. You should also check out Edinburgh Castle. Every day at noon they fire off the cannons and there are people there who ask if you want your photo taken. It would be lovely to add to your wedding photo's :) x
