    Hi!

I'm Maid of Honour for my cousin in May of next year and I have volunteered myself to organise her hen do. I've asked her what she wants to do and basically she wants to go abroad for 2 or 3 nights, somewhere sunny and all inclusive but this is difficult 1. because of the short duration, 2. because of the lack of sunny places within budget and short flying distance in April annnnd 3. because of the people involved.

I am a definite, and obviously so is she but in terms of other bridesmaids and her friends I seem to be struggling to get consensus. I don't like to leave things till the last minute, so in all honesty I would rather have had her hen do booked by now but she only booked the wedding like a week ago. One of her bridesmaids is pregnant and so can't commit to anything (totally get that, I have a 4 month old) and my cousin has said that she can decide nearer the time.

The trouble I have with this is that we're looking on s3cr3t3sc@p3s and v0y@g3pr1v3 and those deals are only open for 7 days, so if a good deal comes up this week obviously we'd like to book it, but she isn't going to be able to. Also people are saying that they can do the deposit now but won't have money to pay the rest until April and neither one of these sites allows that that I can find.

So - does anyone know of anywhere where I might be able to find the impossible? Or recommend a travel agent I can speak to? I've checked all the usual places (th0m@s c00k and that) and most all-inclusive deals are for 7 days which is too long. Plus we have a top budget of £300pp and ideally we'd be a LOT closer to £200 for 2 nights or something, including the flights :-/

Is this impossible?? It wouldn't be with the deal sites mentioned before, but obviously people can't then pay deposits and the pregnant lady is basically then being told "No you can't go, soz!" ... help! :-D xx

    That's a tough one TBH. I don't envy you.

How set is she on that hen idea? Could you have a quiet word with her and advise her of the issues? Thing is unless her friends are very comfortable financially and have time to go away for 3 or 4 days then she may find herself with a very small or non existent hen party.

Have you looked on 1@5tm1nut3 dot com?

    3xp3d1@?

That's partly the reason I had my hen weekend locally in London. Carved it up into 3 elements and my friends to come to as much or as little as they could afford and had time for. My sister did the same thing.

I do understand the excitement of a hen abroad but sometimes it can upset and alienate the very people you want to attend.

Could it be cheaper to find a villa with a pool in the hills somewhere in Italy or South France or Portugal and go self catering but agree a combined fund everyone pays into to buy food and drink? Then find cheapo flights with 3@5y j3t or ry@n @1r?
