Yeah just day guests - I thought if I sent to evening they might assume they're invited to the day do xxx
Can't wait until the 14th July 2012!

we just did the day guests.
if you recieve a save the date you normally expect a day time invite xx
yep i've just done the day guests too, maybe sit down with your list and decide who's defintely going to be day guests and just send save the dates to them for now. If you send them to everyone I think people will assume they're coming to the whole thing xx

i did not send any out but if i did would have sent them to guest who are invited to the day but to over complecate things may have gotten some for the evening guest that clearly states to save the date for the evening reception following the ceremony of XXX this way they can make plans to come to the ceremony if there is enough space at venue but know that they are invited to the evening reception and not the meal........... does that make sense
and now the next chapter

We're going to send them to day guests only at around 12 months before. Then actual invites around 6 months before, with a cut off RSVP 6 weeks before the big day x

Im only sending them to the people we would be really disappointed if they missed it. So not even all of the day people. Hoping to send them next week as signing contract on venue this week! Eeeek!

I sent them to day guests only just to stop confusion and then i will send the invites out 6 months before so anyone who has got in a tiz about not being invited will see they are invited but only to the evening. (my auntie has 3 kids, one of which now has 3 kids and she is in a tiz about me not sending them a STD, i explained that children aren't invited to the evening do and that i'm inviting one of them as i don't really see or talk to the others, she weren't happy but hey ho why invite people i only see like once a year?!)

H2B and I decided not to bother with STD cards as they are the same price as invitations. Those we want there all day will be told ASAP and the ones in the evening will find out when we send invites (if not before tbh) xx
