my H2B has said a couple of months ago that he wants us to write our own vows, he thought it would be more romantic and mean more than the standard ones, i initally panicked n then thought they would come to me over time and i have come up with a few things to say but no where near finished- i dont know how ur own vows are suppose to go??
i'm in total panick now though cause yesterday he was looking at a caligraphy set n I asked what he was looking at one for, he said he thought it would be a nice idea to write his vows up properly and frame them !!!!!! omg i love him to bits n told him I was already in a panick about them without getting them framed afterwards, he said the vows are just saying how u feel about each other n what u vow to do while married- i'm not good at expressing emotions in front of others- i'm ok telling him but have a fear of saying that stuff in front of everyone.

from others experience what do peoples own vows contain? do u state how much u love each other, how do u get a vow to sound different to a speech? heeelllppp please :)

Have a look on the internet at what other people have wrote to get some inspiration. Please don't be worried though as no one will be judging you, they will be there for you both. Maybe start writing down how you feel. It doesn't have to rhyme. Write down little notes when you think of them and then have a session where you look at what you've wrote and you'll be able to see what it is you want to say from that. Good luck sweets xxx

No one will judge you by your vows, they have to mean something to you and have sentiment when you say them to your hubby. Have a look on the internet for inspiration, maybe there is a poem you could read to him instead? xx

or like gavin and stacey words from a song?

you just need to write something from the heart so sit down and think about your relationship and write what comes from the heart

Try and remember that vows are promises.
From an online dictionary: "Vow- a solemn or earnest pledge or promise binding the person making it to perform a specified act or behave in a certain way"

It's all well and good declaring how much you love each other but the purpose of vows is more about how you're going to ensure you have a happy life together.

That said, you should deffo ask H2B how he plans to write out his vows so you can follow suit, are his going to be mostly about his feelings for you or his promises to you? Is it going to be 50/50 or 20/80 or something?. Just saying because I think the hardest thing about writing vows is agreeing on what needs to be included because if both your vows are completely different that would be a bit awkward... well I think it would be anyway.

You could ignore everything I just said, cause it's up to you how you do it lol.
