    Hi all,

I need a bit of help with planning my hen night as I have limited numbers to invite, different age ranges & they'd all like different things!!

My mum, grandma & 2 aunties would prefer a laid back girls night in where we just have a natter and do manicures/pedicures on each other with glass of champagne. Where as my MIL has mentioned a spa weekend away where we all get pampered & I think my 2 bridesmaids would prefer this.

Either side would have to travel as MIL & 1 bridesmaid lives 1 hour away from the rest of us and I mentioned the spa idea to my mum but she & grandma wouldn't want to go as it isn't their type of thing, which I'm fine with.

I'm just struggling to find something we could all do together that enjoy, and also, my mum is the only one that has met MIL & her daughter (bridesmaid), so I also need something that won't be awkward for everyone! I don't really mind what we do, I'd just much prefer that it's relaxed for everyone so that it is doesn't feel awkward with it being the first time they will be meeting!

My other option is to split the hen do and have two - one with my family & one with MIL & her daughter who is my other bridemaid.

What have you all done / are you doing?

I am having split ones and my northern one was last weekend and had different things going on for different people- I went to a Spa Hotel during the day which only allowed over 18s and spas werent for everyone so 8 of us did the Spa - then we went back home for games, drinks, nails and nibbles etc -limo to venue where the others (my under 18, her mum, and a few others making the number up to 13) met us for cocktail making and a meal.

One idea is to have different events during the day then people can do as much as they want ....my friend had on in Stratford ...
A boat trip ...lunch .... Afternoon tea.... Dinner in the evening ..

Like Carla said you could have different events for different groups of people.

I had a Hen weekend but it was broken down into different activities so that everyone invited could choose what bits they wanted to join in on.

Could you do something at home and hire one or two beauty therapists to come and then you all get the pampering in the comfort of your home? There are companies that do this for Hens xx

what about a spa day, followed by a night in with a takeaway, manicures and something like a ann summers party but no as rude for your mum and gran? You can get "jewellery parties" or makeup parties" now where they sell things and you can get a makeover at the makeup parties which may give you an idea of what to do for the big day if you havent had a trial yet.
