I had the same, although my hair is mid length, its fine but have quite a lot of it. Some times you see pictures but its not till you speak to your hair dresser you know if they would be able to do them with your hair type etc. I started flicking through wedding mags and websites for ideas, my h2b is like yours and hates mine up. So i'd recommend pics for ideas. When you have your trial say you don't want it up, have your hair accessories ready and get them to try a number of looks till you're happy.

I found how I want mine in a mag in the real weddings bit, has the top quite high with my tiara but looser curls at the back pinned up. I wanted something not all down as curls can drop but would look great through till the evening and pretty.

I've been having a look at some of the online youtube tutorials formy wedding hair. You could get a good idea of what they could do for you on there. I bet the hairdressers could do you a semi up do and make your locks a bit shorter by using some of your length in the updo part, leaving you lots of hair still loose! xx

I also have really really long hair. I'm planning to have it curled in big ringlets and have a "half up half down" do as I want to look "dolled up" but still want to show my length (my theory is why have super long hair if youre not going to show it off).
I had trouble finding images that show what I want really, maybe spend an hour or two in front of the mirror trying different things with your hair? I had a fairly easy time as I've always known I wanted curls for the big day xx
