As the title says I get married really soon & have no idea what to get my mrs! I have a budget of about £30-£50 & am useless at presents... Any ideas would be a great help! She hates flowers & claims her reason is because they are already dead... potted plants always die... she hasnt exactly got green fingers. Chocolates are a bit too impersonal.

Does she have a charm bracelet or anything? If so, maybe you could get her a 'wedding day' charm?

Well, what about some nice lingerie? Or maybe a locker, with your photos inside. I know you said she is not a jewelry fan, but you also said she used to wear a necklace :)

I'd say a nice perfume. Are you planning on giving the gift before you are married on your wedding day or after you're married?

shes the most awkward woman when it comes to perfume... she has one she loves but i cant find it anywhere! I've asked in loads of department stores but they either havent heard of it or can't get hold of it! I did some searching on the tinterweb & it appears the person who created it is now dead..... Would love to get her more of it but i just can't find it anywhere.

Have u got a honeymoon booked! Even if you do could organise a nice night away just two of you few weeks after wedding so it still a special time x

How soon do you get married?
Something personal that you've spent some time doing would be appreciated? Such as a photo book of all the amazing events, celebrations, memorable days and holidays etc you've been together. You can really personalise it with little comments/remarks like why that day/moment etc was so special to you.

Could you pay to have her dress framed after the wedding? So she can keep it as a keepsake, or maybe put together a relax hamper including a special letter for her so she can have of the morning of the wedding. Or have chocolate strawberry and champagne delivered to hotel room for the wedding night or even have a breakfast organised for the next day ?

Making the effort to retrieve photos from family and friends, maybe off the book of face efc would be really special. I'm sure if you contacted people and explained what it is for and it's a special surprise they'll want to help x

I would say your best bet is to ask her mum. mums normaly know what their daughters like, and if their is anything they have their eye on. i know you say she does not like flowers, but on the morning of the wedding my FBIL sent my FSIL a single red rose with a card where he wrote about how much he loves her and cant wait to see her etc and spend the rest of his like with her. etc.

I think she has already planned on ruining her dress after the day? something to do with a photographer & wanting to go to her home town to swim in the sea in it or some random thing....
I think the politest way to put this would be "thats a lovely idea regarding having photos with family however she doesnt *get on* with hers, nor i with mine but thank you for the suggestion"
However, the letter is a nice idea, nice & cheap too! What sort of thing do you women like in hampers? i guess chocolate would be one of them no?

chocolate, champers/wine. crisps? , cheese sticks, biscuits, like picky things, as some people find it hard to eat a propper meal before a wedding with nerves, so picky things. lavender yankee candle or the like to smell nice and help her relax?

I would say champagne/prosecco and strawberries are a definte! A favourite chocolate (mine would be creme eggs lol) maybe a nice poem and I would like jewellery or a beauty voucher, that kind of thing.

Does she wear fake eyelashes? Personally I think the letter would be the best idea - its something she can keep after the wedding and that would mean so much to her more then anything you could 'buy'?
