I've had a quick look through the search and I was surprised to find that there was nothing similar from the last year or so.

We're looking at setting up a honeymoon fund website where you can pop online and make a list of all the things you'd like to do whilst on your honeymoon with contributions next to them so people choose the experience that they want to pay for for you and then it sends you a message to say who's paid for what experience so you can send photos for your thank you cards.

I had a look at some last night and they're all very different and often you need to pay for the gold access to get the benefit of cash donations towards activities you load on.

Has anyone used any of them or know of anyone that has? I Thought pr3z0l@ looked about the best so far that's only £39 to do.

Also along the same lines ...

What kind of activities would you put on there? I'm thinking premium lounges in the airports, cocktails, c0c0 b0ng0, swimming with dolphins and this zip line experience (we're going to playa del Carmen Mexico)

Thank you in advance for any help!

I looked into this as well and asked the same question on here.

They do charge you to use it, so it's best to either have an account you can set up that people can add to or get vouchers from the agents you plan to book with

so possibly best to just make an excel spreadsheet and send that to people / print it out and just have a bank account for it?

Or we could do a name the teddy type thing on the actual night of the wedding and have a big list of things to do and people just post the donations in the post box and write their name next to the activity they've contributed towards?

Hiya, are you booked through an agent or did you do it yourself?
If you are with an agent I'm sure they could help you co-ordinate this for you.
Otherwise we used 2 companies to book our customers' attractions at my old job, @ttraction W0rld and D0 S0mething D1ffer3nt, I think they again may do something similar if you speak to them. They have all their prices on their websites so people would just need to browse there.

Not sure about paying someone to do this for you especially if you have to buy a higher 'package' in order to do so.

We booked through th0mp$0ns so probably a bit beyond them but I'll check the other two companies out :) I'm a bit clueless with things like this!

If you are already booked and th balance needs paying, you can get them to go in and pay towards it I think.

I didn't know that! That's why I was thinking more towards activities ... I'll give them a call and see what they offer and how people can do that .. It's miles in advance but something we'll need to sort before we print our invites really

We went to a friends wedding this year snd I'm sure they had a part with T that you just gifted vouchers to- a bit like a page when you sponsor someone for charity- so it lets you know who's paid what

I think it's getting more popular but there's a lot of choice so it's hard to choose

We used one called h0n3yfuηd which was free. You can choose to have personalised activities or just let them enter an amount.

I'll be honest though, only one of our guests used it and we were charged by p@yp@l to get the money.
Everyone else put cash or cheque in a card and gave to us in person. We were then free to book what we wanted with the money.

Had a fabulous custom booked honeymoon to Bali in a 5 star resort for half the price of the same thing advertised as a honeymoon by a travel agent by booking direct with the hotel and airlines, and had some surprises thrown in for free by the airline and hotel too ( champagne, flowers, cakes, the pilot came and congratulated us, the hotel decorated our room and gave us a present and champagne too).

Well worth it and the honeymoon fund thing just didn't work for us.

    Thanks Leasa :)!

How old were the majority of your guests? I'm guessing they all use computers and social media daily and still didn't use it?

Can you not just say you would like contributions to your honeymoon and let people give you it in a card? x

The one who used it was my great aunt who's about 80!

We used h0neyfund to set up loads of different things we wanted to do on honeymoon. we didn't set up the card payment option as they charged a lot for it, so everyone who pledged for an activity brought a cheque or cash to the wedding with them.
We also had a Mr Lewis list with physical gifts on it, we got an even split across the two.

    That's totally bizarre Leasa!

Thanks jenn :) so basically people chose on the Internet what they were donating towards as per your activites list then just donated on the day of the wedding?

Yeh exactly, the site gives them a "gift certificate" to print out to go with the cheque etc. It was nice as it meant people were gifting us money but for specific things.

Ahh that's a really nice idea Jenn. I agree it makes it more personal and your guests will really feel like they're contributing to something specific rather than just your honeymoon in general - also nice for them to see what you plan to get up to whilst on honeymoon :) we're just asking for general contributions as I don't think we have anything specifc in mind that we want to do!

No idea about sites for buying honeymoon experiences but in my experience the couple have asked for general contributions towards their honeymoon. We didn't ask for any cash or honeymoon contributions as we had a traditional gift list set up, however we were given a lot of cash and cheques which did go towards all the honeymoon spending on excursions and meals.
