Anyone thought about it. Or maybe been on it? I don't think I'd want my wedding to be shown to the whole world but then again if they pay for it I suppose maybe I would lol

I think it's pretty obvious that they don't want 'ordinary' couples on there, OH often says if we applied he'd have to say he wanted a Space themed wedding or something just to be considered. Also I don't want my wedding day to be some random date 3 weeks after they hire us :\

    LOVE watching it though! Haha

It's not how they portray it to be on the programme, most of the time the ceremonies aren't legitimate and the producers set up all the meetings with venues and suppliers etc and the groom just has to go along with it based on whatever his original idea was.

Most things can be done legally in 3 week if you have £12000 to do it with I think!

Some weddings are quite sweet but some are like OMG what was he *thinking*?

The worst thing is when the Best Man leads the Groom astray on like a 4 day stag and such :\

Yeah some of the best men seem to sway the grooms into spending money on the stag and steering them well away from anything decent! I would hate to go and have cameras follow me about

Never in my life would I go on that show guarantee you will have the wedding that you do not want they purposely find out what you want and they twist it to make your wedding your worst nightmare!!
They just using the bride and groom to make good television invading your home for three weeks watching your every move is a no no for me!
But every couple on their seems to be proper lived up seems they are still in the honeymoon phase and the bride always says she couldn't of done a better job if she tried I bet they have to say that line because if the bride actually organised her wedding it would be totally different very traditional etc...

I couldn't go on their I would refuse to get married if it's not the way I want it and planned it worked too long planning the wedding of my dreams to not get everything I want exactly how I dreamt it = Heartbreak I know Bridezilla over here what do you expect getting married in 4days Xxx

Good luck with your wedding in a few days MrsDeaton. Hope you have a brilliant day.

I think OH would do a good job on picking the venue and food etc as we both loved our barn venue when we saw it. But I just wouldn't want to showcase our special day to the world as for us its most important that our family and friends are there to celebrate with us, not strangers and hangers on. Plus I'm the organised one I'd be tearing my hair out. OH is way too relaxed! X

I swear there was another Bride on here that commented ages ago that her friend went on it, and they make the couple sign a contract at the beginning, saying that they will go along with whatever direction the Producers steer them in, and leave all the big decisions up to them, or they have to pay back like £18K or something? Over the amount that they were even giving them to spend on their big day!
I always used to think, what a bunch of hapless losers! They blatantly got a run down before the programme saying this is the dress I want, this is the sort of venue we should get, don't spend half the budget on the Stag, etc! And they always manage to do something to make the Bride cry! But now I know why!

And good luck MrsD, bet you are full of nerves and Sooo excited to get married! Have the crazy dreams started yet?! X

I wouldn't. The programme is a complete fix anyway.

I would however fully trust OH to plan the day.. although I wouldn't want him to do it on his own. I would want some involvement in the planning process for one of the biggest days of my life!

No because I wouldn't want our day turned into a circus or a freak show. I do watch it, but think it's gone a bit downhill now as the ideas are getting more and more ridiculous. There was a local girl on there the other day from Eastbourne - she went to the same shop I'd been in to look at dresses. I think too the bride has to be a bit of a bridezilla and spoilt too - there was one on a while ago and it was obvious the family had money as the size of the parental home was massive, so makes you wonder why they needed the B8C to fund their wedding.

Yes, me and my H2B was talking about going on don't tell the bride but then we decided to plan the wedding together. However, if we was going to do it then I know that there would be anything to worry about because my H2B has the same taste as me in pretty much everything. I love watching it through. Sometimes when I watch it, it helps me to get some ideas for my wedding

That's stupid really because what about if a couple want a uncomplicated wedding but can't afford to pay for it unless they go on TV
