I would recommend extensions, you will feel so much better with them in and will find that you can do a lot more styles too x

Yeah, you should get information on your extensions when you buy them and some have a maximum temperature on them which is normally the temp you get on straighteners & curlers x

I have fine hair, it was annoying me that it always looked limp and lifeless and too wispy so I just got it all cut off really short lol :)

See all that sounds so complicated lol would love a kind of spray that thickened hair! Mines not just thin it wont hold a shape if I try and style it, I'm so used to going out with it dead straight :(

Curling it will always make it look thicker...I also use a 'doughnut' to do a bun which makes my hair look really thick and glam when it's up. I've always thought that a low bun, by the nape of your neck looks so sophisticated.

I didnt think of the doughnut, someone else suggested that to me when I complained the other day, I might get one and give it a go! And curls drop out after an hour or so, my hairs just so lank

Have you tried hairspray before and after curling. i have exactly the same problem. Also try curling small sections of hair rather than larger ones - I've found that helps...

I've tried hairspray and backcombing, maybe I'm doing it wrong? I may invest in some extensions as well you know, I've never tried them! I just can't bloody decide lol

I also have quite thin hair, i find that washing it the night before I want to style it or have it styled is best. That way the hair isn't 'too' clean and there is a bit more texture. It's a lot easier to style and hold a style.

This has nothing to do with thin hair but has anyone tried curling their hair with socks? lol i have done it once and i was quite surprised how well it turned out x

I've never tried socks but I have tied them in bits of dish towel and it worked really well. My mum used to do this for me all the time when i was wee.

Iv got really thin hair and have mine in a inverted bob!! even tho im a hairdresser myself i sometimes struggle with my own.. im growning mine a bit and having hair extensions in for my wedding even tho im wearing it up just to bulk the style out.. id always recommend human hair extensions.. synthetic hair is a complete waist of money in my opinion xx

yeah i bet you get people expecting your hair to be at its best all the time. You could save your extensions for special occasions if you go short straight after x

But my sister has extremely thin hair but we managed to find a lovely hair style that really suited her and didnt make her hair look like it was slapped to her head

Most of my bridesmaids have thin hair actually and they all had lovely hair styles, I just let the hair dresser do what suited them and their hair and they all looked lush. All of them had hair up apart from the youngest who had her hair down and curly x

My hair dresser charge £20 for a trial, £35 for my hair on the day, £25 for bridesmaids and £10 for my mums. She was a bargain and she was brilliant, couldn't of faulted her. She even laced me into my dress!

Unfortunately no! Its a shame really, as she is really good and she would get the business. Shes just been booked by a gypsy bride, to do her hair, 17 bridesmaids, both mums and 4 aunties!! Shes having to employ someone to help her
