Have a problem with my hair and what to do! Basically my hair has been coloured very dark brown for many years and stupidly in June I bleached and bleached it to become a blonde (BIG mistake I know) then in July (without me knowing) my H2B proposed, so we set the date for next July, and if I had of known I wouldn't have touched my hair! I have since had it put back to original colour and had to have it cut off (due to killing my hair and it cooking!!!) its now quite short layered but can get a little and I mean 'little' ponytail, trouble is my hair is still very porous and colour keeps coming out making it look very dull, I have put in a colour that has no ammonia and no peroxide just to make it look better, I condition it heaps, try not to use dryer or straighteners unless absolutely necessary, before I messed with my hair is was just below my shoulders and I used to wear clip in extensions a lot and would have done so for the wedding also, now I don't know what to do or how I can have my hair! do you think it will grow enough to use extensions without it looking ridicules?? If not what options am I left with or how could I have it?? I really could cry sometimes with this one!!

If you're looking to grow your hair faster I would recommend biotin supplements. I noticed that my hair was thinning and started with the biotin and noticed a big difference. I started taking prenatal vitamins (b00ts own brand) after I noticed how thick my friends hair became when she started taking them.
As for the condition of your hair I have no advice other than to seek the help of a professional (if you haven't already).

I did 3 years in college doing hairdressing Have the brown colours you've put in your hair had red tones in them? You need a brown with red tones in because you were blonde (hard to explain why but without the red your hair will just keep fading and looking dull) Also by July your hair would of grown a good few inches mines grown about half an inch a month in the last year I had my hair cut into a bob then grew it out Try not to cut your hair till a month before the wedding so it grows but then you've got rid of all the split ends for your big day, also go to the hairdressers or local college (it's cheaper) and just get conditioning treatments they really help :) good luck xx

Thank you Sarah I will give those a try cant hurt!! :) Katielea can I mix a dark brown and a red? its those N1ce n e@sy colours that i'm using? Its the the one with no peroxide and no ammonia colours. I will have to try college for the conditioning treatments also I think! Probably more my price range! Thank you for the help really do appreciate it. I don't have a clue how I can have my hair if i'm unable to use the clip in extensions! xx

You'll be able to use your extensions by then don't worry! Get the college to colour your hair for you too I wouldn't suggest mixing two packets together xx
I really hope I will be able to use the extensions, I hate my hair short, my hairdresser has tried her best to keep as much lengh as she can but has had to cut in so many short layers! Just hoping she will be able to blend them in well enough! xx

there's a make of conditioner type stuff called elasticize (by f-I-llip king-sley) that is amazing. You put it on damp hair before you shampoo, leave it for 15 mins then shampoo off. I can't recommend it enough, makes hair very soft but strong if you see what I mean. I had a inverted bob (shaved up the back virtually) and grew it out for my wedding.. went from that length (short) to bra-strap length in just over a year and that was with regular trims. I also take Hair,Skin and Nail vitamins (generic ones from the big chemist on their 3 for 2 offers) - they work too. finger's crossed for you too

Id get into a routine,
try and get a hair colour sorted that you like aim for it or if you can change to it.
Ive started to do two conditioning hair masks a week and (you just apply it after shampoo and condition and leave in for a few mins) Ive also left the straightners a bit more. Have regular hair cuts approx. 12 weeks then hair oils just to hydrate it.
If you keep this up for a few months you should notice some growth and healthier hair.

The straighteners are my enemy at the mo!!! I'm using a few different treatment conditioners and they are helping but after reading everyone's advice I will be trying them all! Xx

After reading everything else I'll add my suggestion .... Protein serum .. I use the one by label M ( get on Toni & guy website or in salons) you need the thinnest bit so last ages ... Also go get your hair trimmed as if ends split n are not cut they can split further up the hair shaft
Thank you lala :) I know I'll have to get it trimmed for the reasons you have mention but I just don't want scissors near my hair :( it's a no win situation really! Would you mind posting the label M on my page please as I can't work it out :/ thank you :)

Melissa it won't spread so far up the shaft that you need 2 inches taken off, because hair is so thin it splits but then snaps its reccomended to get your hair cut every 8 weeks but I'f you did yours every 16 it will be fine just have the ends trimmed so you don't lose length xx
