Hi ladies! I'm trying to compile a list of things I can buy my OH to put in a groom's box for him for the morning of the wedding. For each item I am going to attach a tag to it giving an 'explanation'. So far I have:

Socks - so you don't get cold feet
Watch - so you're not late
Miniature alcohol bottle - to steady your nerves
Mirror - for one last final check
    Sixpence - for luck
Letter from me - to remind you of all the reasons I am marrying you

Can you think of anything else?

I just got a few things but haven't got any explanations or anything to go with them. Only thing I've got that isn't on your list is a personalised groom tankard and boxers that say property of mrs swan! Haa xx

What a lovely idea. My h2b isn't sentimental like that, I don't even think it will cross his.kind to get me a gift but I don't mind.
I'd send him a little tease to, a photo of your wedding underwear or something like that.
    But that's just me. Lol.

A lot of brides have boudoir shoots and pop the pics in the groom's box.. I don't think I would though, not sure I have the confidence to do something like that!! x

I would love to do it but like you Flossie I just don't have the confidence to! I do admire the brave ladies that do though! I am thinking of just putting his favourite photo of us in his box instead lol x

I couldn't do a boudoir shoot either I wouldn't be relaxed and it would show on the pictures, I don't think oh would appreciate it either tbh.

I'm putting to better a list of our memories for example first date was at ..... First holiday ...... Best day of our lives the day Connor was born. That sort of idea I think he will like it

As well as new aftershave to wear on the day but I'm also giving him a sgian Dubh (kilt knife) he's wanted one for ever and I honk it's nice as he will be wearing his kilt on our big day.

Yeah I think I'd feel very self conscious and awkward and you would be able to tell by my body language.

That's a good idea :) I'm sure he will love to be reminded of all the happy memories you've had together :)

I am going to put some aftershave in and hoping to get him a watch he's been wanting for a while, I will have to see how our budget is nearer the time though, if not he can have one of the sweet ones lol! x

I agree Flossie. I'd love to do a boudoir shoot but haven't got the confidence to flaunt myself in front of a photographer x

I used to model before i had my kids, since having them though i couldnt do it infront of a photographer however.... me & my 2 bridesmaids had a few drinks..... then we all took photos of eachother in my bedroom/landing. One of my bridesmaids is REALLY self concious but by the end of it we had her in a skimpy dress & she did a "Leeloo Dallas Multipass" impression from the fifth element... my other bridesmaid went a bit further than I did to the point where the only thing covering her nipples was her finger tips, she even went in the garden to lay across the bonnet of h2b's car! (luckily he doesnt mind cos she wasnt fully laying across it & he got to see the picture lol). My Bridesmaids took photos of me that hid my stomach despite being in just a bra & underwear, it was the position that they took the photo from that made it flattering. I had some lovely picture from that, but also some not nice pictures. I felt more at ease with it being my bridesmaids that took the photos because i know them & i trust them & we all felt a bit uncomfy to begin with however about half way through my bridesmaids were positioning my boobs for me! We were having a laugh & a giggle. Its something to think about... maybe you would be like me & be more comfy infront of people you trust.... maybe even get your h2b to take the photos.....just tell him you want to boost your confindance & want to try something new & if he wants s3xy photos of you then in return he has to let you take photos of him in say.... a mankini or th0ng lol if you cant be confident enough for that with your h2b who can you be confident with?
