We are going for grey suits, with purple cravats and a ivory waistcoat.
However, my fiance has mentioned he did look at tweed waistcoats, but they were expensive. He has since mentioned himself wearing a tweed waistcoat. So he would have the same suit as everyone else, but with a tweed waistcoat.
Do you think this would look okay? Or a bit silly.
Tweed is very him

hey hun, I think its really hard to say without seeing the suit on whether it would look good or not.. they so many diff styles and also the tweed waistcoat what colour ? I have looked at loads of tweed waistcoats and again so many diff varietys.. some are bigger square checked and others you can just barely see its tweed. . some are light colours and others green, blue.e.t.c but if its a modern style slim suit e.t.c then I would say yes would look good, if it were more formal like a top n tails suit I would say it wouldn't look right.. but I really think depends on colour of waistcoat and style of suit :)

He's been looking at a yellowy tweed... which I think looks good-but I also think brown would look nice as well

Spoke to him and he said he already has a brown one but he thinks it would be nice to buy a new one... I think the brown would look nice though-or a grey... but would that just fade in with the grey suits.

Hmm not a fan of tweed and tails. A modern slim fit suit maybe.

It doesn't matter what any of us think what's important is what you & your H2B think.
If your not keen could you perhaps convince him to wear the same as everyone else for the ceremony & then later in the evening change into a tweed waistcoat, by that point i'd imagine he would have removed his jackets anyway.

I think I'd have to see it all together to decide. But if he really wants it then he can have it to be fair, it's his day as well. I wouldn't be happy if he told me I couldn't wear my shoes with my dress or something
