Wedding Forum - GOT MY DRESS :)...

I know this question crops up a lot but I'm confused as I won't be ordering my dress and instead buying it off the rack. With this being the case when is the earliest I should purchase it considering I will have no delivery time? Many thanks in advance :) x

Personally I started shopping with around a year to go until the wedding but I was ordering. If I was you, I would probably go around a year in advance and try on some styles to see what you like and don't like etc. Chances are you will find your dress there and then but if not, at least you have time to go back and look at another time.

Nicole, Are you planning on loosing any weight?
If you aren't I would go now. I bought my dress with 2 and a half years (Bought in Jan 15 for wedding Oct 17) to go but for medical reasons I'm not allowed to loose or gain weight so I knew my body shape wont change.

thanks again everyone :) i would maybe like to lose a little weight so I will go in to try it on and check whether it will be easily altered. I am soo tempted to just buy it like i said previous i just know i want this dress and will be so upset if it is discontinued before i get it. i've just been advised by eberyone to leave it in case i change my mind (i am very certain i wont)

i know! its beautiful, exactly what i always imagined and a bargain price so nothing really stopping me other than nerves i think!

I bought mine off the rack in January for our July wedding. I had it altered 3 weeks ago - it just needed taking up.
As long as you can get the dress altered if it needs doing, you can get it whenever you like :)

i just don't wanna get it wrong! if you feel uncomfortable in the dress your whole day won't go as smoothly that's why i've been putting it off! but no the more i see this dress the more i feel it's the one for me! thank you Danielle :) the same to you x

Hi everyone - i've eventually gotten my dress! it's not the one I was going to get but honestly it's so much better i LOVE it! I will post pics but they do not do it justice! - head is cropped because my mum is lethal with a camera :')

Thanks Stacey! it has some lovely sparkles int he underneath material which shine through when it catches the light they just don't show on the photos but I really am in love with it

I love the dress, especially with the belt. It's lovely and delicate and finishes it off.
