I know my fiancé wants a pocket watch, I have wanted to get him one for a while but never got round to it.

The plan was to buy him one for the wedding and have it engraved, something like ''love from Mrs C'' however, I have been searching for birthday presents for him and have come across a replica of the master from doctor who's pocket watch. He is a massive doctor who fan, so I think this would be a fab present. However it already has a pattern engraved on it on both sides, so I would not be able to have it personalised for him... do you think that is a better option than a plain pocket watch?

Would it be possible to engrave it on the inside lid?

I'm not sure... it has little circles on the inside (just all over as a pattern) could they engrave over that?

I have no idea if it's engrave-able... I'm not up on things like that, also how much does it cost to get something engraved... everything I've looked at the people you buy if from offer the engraving for free, whereas this place won't offer it.

And it's not the masters one, is a chameleon arch pocket watch. The doctor had one and then the master had the same one.

Oooo good to know it can be engraved.

    Thank you.

I'm not a massive fan to be honest myself, I enjoy some of them but oh and son are way more into it.

I'm actually going to disagree with everyone else lol.. I think a plain one with the engraving you want on it would be nicer, as it's definitely a lot more personal and will have such a sentimental value xx

The other option is to buy him that one for his birthday and buy something else for the wedding... but I'm not sure what-could buy him a normal watch... he is so fussy, doesn't wear jewellery and has one watch that he sometimes wears :/
