Amazing news at our meeting today.....it's going to be about £1000 cheaper than we had calculated. They told us we needed to order 3 courses for during the day, but were told today we don't have to have 3. We're going for a BBQ and so they're happy for us to have just the one course and we're getting a 'fake' wedding cake to cut for dessert. And, we booked our rooms for bridesmaids and myself the night before and the night of for them and our sons. And we paid more off the venue......and I'm over excited haha!
However we may have to change rooms as the room we had booked may be too small for the number of guests plus a BBQ station and I love the room we had booked.

It's not that I don't like the other rooms, it's just that the view out the window isn't as 'wow'. But we're going to have a look in January, she says there is no other wedding booked for the day of ours so we can have which ever room we want. They couldn't dhow us yesterday as there was things going on. Was an amazing thing to find it'll be that much cheaper, still not quite on target but it all seems much more manageable now :)

Seriously heads all over, so so so excited but been having nightmares haha. Had one the other night that the registrar didn't turn up and that the cake hadn't been brought to the venue as organised and I was frantic, it was like 30 mins until the wedding haha. But made it so real meeting with the coordinator yesterday. Our boys got so excited to be going to the 'castle' again. Eldest (he's 4 in January) keeps asking if we're going to our wedding yet like everytime we leave the house!

Oh jeez, can't be having them after! It's not like I'm any sort of bridezilla etc. But when so much effort goes into planning it's important it runs smoothly. x

Of course it is! It's hard to imagine that after all the effort and money you have put into something that something could go wrong. You definitely aren't alone with the worries and the nightmares! It will be perfect though :-) even if something does go wrong, it's still your day and will be perfect just for that reason alone!! :-) xx

As long as we actually get married I'm not bothered about the other stuff :) My cousin got married in August and was saying that the flowers in her centre pieces were roses instead of the lily's they were meant to be......I honestly didn't even notice and I bet not many people did. Excited to see my 2 gorgeous page boys....my kids look mint in suits haha

My current worry is walking into the ceremony room to go down the aisle and things being in the wrong place or not as we requested. I'm relying on H2b and my mum to do a proper check before hand!

but anyway, yay good news on the money saving! It's fab when that happens :)

Luckily we don't have too much for the ceremony. I've already told them when it comes to the centre pieces etc I'll be there to check they're done properly etc. My H2B will probably still be sprucing himself up as the ceremony starts, he takes longer to get ready than I do haha

Luckily he plans on having his hair shaved for the wedding so that's an hour that would have been spent gel-ing his hair gone lol. However I can totally see me getting to the end of the aisle and insisting I redo his tie before we start, he knows his suits but can he what do a tie properly.

It's great news that you have £1000 less to pay. I'm sure it won't bother you on the day about the room, you'll be thinking of other things. Your guests don't know that there would have been a better view from another room.
