Donna I'm sure this is about the time everyone starts to panic! mine is 5 months away and I'm constantly stressing, one of my bm's has put weight on since the dress was purchased (she's not put weight on in the 7 years i've known her but as soon as i buy the dress she has done!) :') and the dresses can't really be taken out so not too sure what i can do there. I've lost weight since i bought my dress but can't get an appointment with the seamstress until 1st July so I don't know if they can even take it in as much as needed. I have no food for the cocktail hour and no backdrop as i really can't afford it in the budget!.

Buuuut all that aside, i'm certain things will pull together and it will be amazing, and i'm sure yours will as well x

I'm sure everyone starts to stress the closer the wedding comes, which is why sites like this are handy so you know your not alone and can think of things that may have been missed. I think it is natural as some things are just out of our control whether we like it or not no matter how much planning you do. Just try and take time where you can for yourself where you can distract yourself away from thinking wedding

Take a deep breath and just believe that everything will pull together nicely on the day x

    Hi Donna,

I have just over a year, but weddings can be very stressful at the same time they are amazing.

Are you dressing the venue yourself or hiring someone to do it? If you are hiring ask your venue for their recommended supplier.

If you don't know how to have your hair book yourself in for a trial so you can get a better idea of things you like, you could bring your daughters along too and ask subtly if they have any plans for hair dye colours that way they can't shock you.

In regards to you OH children sit him down and tell him you will have arrangements to sort, your running out of time and you need to know if they are coming or not.

I would keep in mind that most things are sorted and its just ironing out the last few details. There really isn't too much to get worked up over, it will all come together in the end :)

Stress is normal, you're not going crazy.

Maybe it's time you call a girlfriend over and play pamper.
Dye your hair, do your nails, have a face pack, drink lots of wine etc, it'll be a nice time to unwind, rant and maybe prepare an action list of things to do i.e. shove rocket up H2B's bottom.

    Everything will be fine x

the rats have wound me up for weeks so I called their bluff and told them to crack on and I have brought them both hair dye and I'm holding them down which I thought was hilarious, they soon stopped, I also told them they were sacked and wouldn't be wearing their pretty dresses, which I also thought was hilarious... the moral of the story don't let yr kids winde you up or even better just don't have em as brides maids lol :)

Aww you will be fine! Dont worry about your hair your partner is marrying you for who you are and im sure they have seen your greys! Im very grey now at 49, and ont intend doing anything about it. I am however having false nails just for a treat!

Think about your theme or colours and budget aand where you want to show off the venue and where to cover up if needed. Im having the reception in a working cow shed on a farm so a lot of cleaning to do but im not covering it up, lighting will be used to enhance the good bits! Ive got table cloths and loads of things going on the table and the bar and disco in the same building, so bails of hay to sit on dotted around, very rustic and relaxed!
