Well my bridesmaid and groomsmen will get their presents first thing on our wedding day so have them to wear for the day.... therefore during the speechs it will just be a thank you as already had their gifts xxx

All those presents sound lovely, we have gone against the tradition and the only people getting gifts at the wedding breakfast are our parents, the best men will get their engraved zippos from h2b on the morning of the wedding and my bridesmaids and flower girl will get there jewellery which they are wearing on the day as their present in the morning, I dont think its cheeky at all to give it as a sort of joint present x

Bridesmaids gifts and bestman gifts can be given before or after the wedding it doesn't have to be during the reception, in fact when I was bridesmaid I was given gifts the day before the wedding x

I think we're going with the classic jewellery/cufflinks thing, which they can wear on the day.

When my h2b was groomsman for his friend they have him engraved cuff links & bought him his shoes to keep too. Cuff links are in a cabnit as a keep sake now. When I was bm for my sister she gave us wee thanks you ornaments, the willow kind, & a lovely picture frame with FRIENDS on it the morning of the wedding, and we now all have the same pic in the matching frames, we posed for pic purposefully. Only mothers got flowers presented to them during speeches.

That's what I thought - i didn't mind at all but I just wondered if other people agreed. At least one of my bm's is the bride that didn't do gifts so I know what her opinion is! x

For my BM's - I'm making up gift baskets which will include a personalised silk robe, a necklace from monsoon, a diamanté hanging heart, hotel chocolate truffles, bottle of wine, and then I'm going to write them each a personal letter and make a collage of pictures of myself and them. I've also brought them their shoes, dress, jewellery for the day and their hotel rooms.
For the groomsmen & Best Man - they have all got a personalised shot glass and a bottle of black sambuca, cufflinks and their hotel rooms, and shoes for their suits.
For the Flower girls - not sure yet, but the children at the wedding will have help for heroes teddy bears for favours, sweeties and an activity pack.

Liking the idea of a shot glass and bottle of Sambuca for them men!

We've got the bridesmaids a candle (the same scent as the one we're using at the wedding, just in travel size), a bracelet and tiara, chocolates from hotel chocolat and a little thank you bookmark.
BM Gift.JPG
Mum's have the same candle and chocolates.
Flower girl has a little jewellery set, her tiara and some chocolate.
The female gifts are wrapped and ready to go.

Bags.JPG
FoG and Ushers have a selection of beer that we've individually selected to match their tastes.
We have one BM and FoG doing readings, so I got the BM a Me to You thank you teddy. FoG is reading an extract from Terry Pratchet - Thief of Time, so I got the authors autograph and I'll frame the reading for him.
