Are you planning on sending gifts to your suppliers, or thank you cards? Or if you are already married did you.

I was thinking about it, as thinking about how fantastic my dress lady is, so would be nice to send her something once the process is all over with, then I thought about how brilliant my venue decoration lady is and our transport people... and our violinist.... everyone we are working with have so far been amazing lol...

Is it the done thing to send thank you gifts to suppliers, or is it a bit weird?

I've never really thought about it. I might give them a good review on their website or something but wouldn't send a gift as we are spending enough money as it is on said suppliers x

Depending on how it went I would send them a card to say thank you. I'm already paying for their services so I'm not going to give them a gift on top of that too.

now my question would be why are you thinking of giving a gift to someone you have employed to do a job for you ?

would buy a gift for a builder ?

i think a card is more than enough

I can see what you mean about that-it's a fair enough comment :)

I think your right, a card with a little note is more than enough.

No gifts, you pay them. The best thing to give if you really thought they were brilliant is a thank you card and a positive review.

I'm planning on sending cards to them. I am also writing a letter to the the manager of the store where I got my dress from to say how brilliant the lady was who assisted me at both my appointments and my bridesmaids. I know she is only doing her job but she made me feel so relaxed and for me to say that when I'm so self conscious it takes allot. X

No, and I wouldn't even consider it. I have said my thank you's and provided recommendations via reviews on FB, and other social media.

I won't be, I wouldn't have even considered it. The only 'gift' were giving is the photographer a meal.

Sometimes even just a thank you is enough to show your appreciation. Positive reviews is all suppliers want from you along with recommendations to get more business in the future. Don't bother spending x

OH I did do my photographer a gift but only because she was my friend and she done it for nothing. I could hardly not, so I made a little hamper of gluten/dairy free goodies for her.

We've ordered a bouquet for the friend doing our cake for free. £20 flowers is nothing for however much it takes to make a wedding cake lol.

For strangers though I still stand by no gifts.
