Sorry if this is the wrong category. Has anyone else used the quote section of the site? What did you think of it? I requested brochures and quotes for our cake a couple of weeks ago, and have only received one response which basically said 'look at my website'. Any tips for getting more quotes would be much appreciated.

I've used it a few times, and like yourself have mostly been referred to their website. I have received a few leaflets/brochures through the post too. I tend to look at the websites then make a short list and then email them all the same enquiry, then its just a process of elimination till I find the supplier I want to use.
To be honest, word of mouth and recommendation works well too.

If only I could get some brochures! You would think that in the whole of greater Manchester I would be able to get more than one cake quote. We're toying on a professional cake vs a C0stc0 cake with a picture of us on. So far the C0stc0 cake is winning.

Yeah it depends what you want as a cake- are you getting married in Vegas steph and then just having an after party? As you say, can't beat a c0stco cake or 2- see,s like a sensible option, or you could get a simple one from some of the big supermarkets like magic and sparkle who do them, however not as cheap as c0stco!

Yes its for the party when we get back. Sending invites out soon but estimate 100 people so thought I might as well have a look for something nice as we'd definitely need 2 cakes for that amount of people. Seems a shame that nobody wants my business haha!
Din't really figure in my head to check that shop I may have a look.
