Getting really nervous now as we barely have 3 weeks until we hear back from the church as to whether they will allow marriages there... The general assembly meet between 3rd-6th July in Cardiff and as soon as they have made the decision, our vicar (who will be there) is going to ring us to let us know! Since we met him last month though, he's told us that his church and others have voted in favour of marriages and that is being brought to the general assembly that people want this so here's hoping this helps and it's keeping everything crossed until then.... We want this so much and it's become very prominent in my mind recently particularly over the last week. I will be devastated if it doesn't go through because I don't know what we will do otherwise :( the only other option is to have our hotel married then church blessing or civil partnership then upgrade to marriage later....... Hate this waiting! Please keep fingers crossed and pray for us, it's a worrying time for us! Xx

Keeping everything crossed for you both. Try and think positive hun
Which denomination is it? Hope they vote in favour, there are so many couples that want a church wedding that currently can't have one.
30th August 2014 was the best birthday ever.
It was the day that I became Mrs. Dixon.

Thank you Donna and it's the URC's Elinor.. We have just been hoping and praying for this to go through but I think the pressure and worry is getting to us as we had a bit of a bust up this evening and Debbie has gone off for a walk. We never normally argue like this so we just want the answer so we know one way or the other :(

I'd imagine the URC would be in favour. The one in Cardiff city centre is bound to be, they're licenced for civil partnerships already.
