It is a week until the deadline for our guests to rsvp for our wedding. We have done pretty well at getting replies but still have a few stragglers so this morning I put this on FB with a message "Thank you to everyone who has sent their rsvp to our wedding. For those that haven't there is one week left to the deadline. This is your warning!"
Its worked really well because we now have lots of comments of people checking theirs has arrived and its given a nudge to those we are waiting for so thought I would share in case anyone else needs to give their guests a gentle hint that they do need to reply. X

I'm considering just sending save the day cards and not sending another invite as such and just doing an online website but then I'm still not sure people will login- I know nowadays most people are online fb etc and find it a hassle to physically buy and post a return card, however in my head I think it's nice to receive these.

Michelle, it has been really nice receiving our rsvp cards in the post. We get really excited as each one arrives wondering who its from and what they've ordered from the menu choices. Plus if someone says on the day "I didn't order that", I've got a massive stack of them and can go "Yeh you did tick that box so shhh!". X

We've gone with a more relaxed approach... lol. As we're not having a sit down meal.... if they dont turn up more for us!! :-)

Its funny how many people have checked theirs arrived. We even had one of my best friends (who had told us as soon as he got the invite he was waiting until he heard his shifts as he is a doctor) find out he can come and so he sent a photo of the rsvp in case it didn't arrive on time as he was so excited to be able to come. What a sweetie! X

Well being mine and H2B's wedding is in two years old, don't know what day yet but when we do then we will send out the invites out straight away so it giving them chance to respond what to out invites x
