They totally work but go for more straight sided rather than fish bowls as apparently flowers and candles tend to go to the sides and not stay in the middle with fish bowls x

Thanks, my sister loved them (as did we the bridesmaids), they were light and easy to hold (practical when you're trying to run around after a bride holding her train up lol). They're affordable too.

We booked her a year before our wedding, well she held the date for us, then we met her to decide on everything and get a full quote about 8 months before the big day.
My sister did hers about 5 months before her wedding (but her wedding was all organised in 6 months).

Aww that'd be nice, we never got corsages for my mum (I never knew my MIL as she passed away years before hubby and I met). Best guesstimate will be approx £180. Are you getting thank you gift bouquets for the mums during the speeches?

I hadn't thought about that to be honest but that would be a great idea as both of them love flowers anyway :-) when we speak to florist I'll have to ask her what she'd suggest for bouquets :-) x

We got a bouquet made up for my mum in the same flowers we used for the day. She loved it. The florist put them in a presentation box with the cellophane and a bubble of water so they kept all day and night (we stayed the night at the reception venue) and was easy to transport home.
My sister and BIL did the same for our mum and her MIL for their wedding.
I think they cost approx £25 each.

You may want to see if you can find someone who does not just the bridal party bouquets, button holes, corsages and mother's Thank You bouquets but who can also do you the venue dressing and chair covers if that's what you want/need.
The lady we got did the whole lot so it was easy just dealing with the 1 supplier for everything plus I think she did us some deals and threw in a whole load of freebies.
