Morning ladies, lovely and sunny here today! Going to walk the pooch shortly then need to pop into town with OH, got some things to take back, OH needs some clothes for honeymoon and we have been given some cheques for wedding presents already so we are going to pop those into the bank. So much to do this week!

Emily, I thought the same, I'd not want to use a towel to dry my body after it's been stuck on that mould. Thankfully I managed to get rid of it, hopefully it's not done any lasting damage and reappear.
Didn't think of that, If the damp has gone deeper than just the surface. Not nice. If its a hollow door I suppose you could drill a small hole in the top for it to dry out from. Fingers crossed it hasn't though!

been up since 4.30 to collect son and dil from the airport they have just been to Oz for a coupe of weeks for a wedding.

The latest is that I'll be going up to the delivery suite this afternoon to have my waters broken. I'm still only just over 1 cm dilated, but the cervix is thin enough that the midwife said the waters would be easy to break. Apparently they're bulging. Hopefully with the help of the drip as well I can have a quick labour, I know they don't like things to take too long once the waters are gone.
The whole process has been longer for me than some people, I think it depends how close you are when you start. I've seen people sent up to delivery within 24 hours. One lady came in at about 10:00 last night after her waters went at 11:00 the night before, and by the time I got up this morning she'd gone. They don't always start with the 24 hour pessary either, depending on the Bishop score (how they're classing progress, sometimes they can go straight to the 6-hour gels, and not everyone needs all of those. I started on Friday night with a Bishop score of zero, so I was nowhere near.
30th August 2014 was the best birthday ever.

Our process is prostin tablets (used to use gel but changed), each tablet is 3mg, everyone has the same, 2 lots 6-8 hours apart. The gel was different, if a woman was have her first baby she would start off with 2mg, then two more 1mg, woman who had had babies before would only have two lots of 1mg. If after a day it was unsuccessful they would have a day's rest then commence again, if after that still nothing they'd have a section. So with us, someone induced on th Friday, whichever way, today would be when they had their baby if they'd not already had it. My friend who used the propess at her unit, if after the time slot the waters could not be broken they would be in for a section.
Catching up on 11.22.63 and having a chill on the sofa, hopefully get some sleep as I had a rubbish sleep last night,

Decided against homemade minestrone soup for lunch, too warm, so made pasta salad instead, tuna, sweetcorn, red pepper, spring onions and mayo. Mmmmmmmmmmmm. With cucumber sticks on the side. Ate out in the garden, lush!
Kitchen all cleared up now.
Windscreen chip has also been fixed and my F1 tickets have been delivered.

Dead chuffed with myself. Not only have I put away all my winter boots I polished them all too so they're all ready to wear in the winter. I also polished all my shoes in the porch that I'm continuing to wear through the summer for work and casual and sprayed them all with protector spray stuff. They're all shiny and new looking again.
Also printed out our boarding passes and photocopied our travel insurance docs to take with us. I like to leave the original at home.

Fingers crossed for you EC, I know exactly how you feel being induced and the wait. I was induced with my first. OH thinks he's hurt his neck when we had accident as he cant move his neck properly,it only started hurting him a day or two after.not sure if that's normal or not to get effects days after!!! I've told him to get checked but typical man, he won't. Took 14 yo to Drs today as weight is falling off her yet she eats like a horse,they've requested blood tests to be done before they decide to do anything else. Grrrrr.

Just worked out possible transfer from airport to hotel on public transport, looks like 1 metro train for about 15 minutes and a short walk to the hotel. We managed it in Amsterdam so hoping we can in Copenhagen. Will be so much cheaper than taxi plus more satisfying.

On delivery unit. Midwife hasn't broken waters yet as she's concerned by the baby's position, and thinks there is a risk of a prolapsed cord, so she wants to get a doctor review first. The doctors are all busy. Been here nearly three hours, and other than monitoring and obs nothing has happened.

Ahhh always best to wait for the doc if that's the case Ec. I once had a woman whose baby was so high up, she made not a lot of progress, doc said to me to break the waters, I said to him no way am I doing it, you will have to come and do it with a head that high. It was the high that she had to be scanned to ensure she was not breech. You've had regular scans recently haven't you so that shouldn't be the case.
I'm off to work now. Catch up in the morning and hopefully some news from Ec.
