I've been up since 2am. My throat felt like it was closing up, I was freezing but sweating and I can't swallow as got white spots all over my throat. Feel rubbish

Ahhhh I hope we hear some news soon.

Had a rubbish sleep, seriously hope I get some today though as back on the night shifts tonight. Weather is not meant to be good today, we've already had some rain but it was weird, almost as if it dried up so quickly as it was still warm, so hardly anything got wet.

For those potatoes I done last night by the way, I use the jarred garlic in powder form, spray them with some oil ( we use coconut) and then sprinkle the garlic and salt over, you could use paprika like IDL done, the kids go mad for them.

The paprika on potato wedges was just simply delish.

I bought a new car yesterday :) got a [email protected] 130. I love it. Its a diesel so need to get used to changing gears in it. Get to pick it up Friday as it will have full service and MOT done. Could have been Thursday but we are going to the theatre so no luck. Really cant wait. It is beautiful.
I shed a little tear on Sat morning when I emptied my old car. It has done me so well and was such a fantastic little run around. Will miss driving her for sure!

Awww Emily, how exciting. I know what you mean about emotional attachment to an old car. I remember my last and very first car, it was amazing, absolutely brilliant and served me well for 11 years before I got rid of it. Felt so emotional selling her but I needed a newer more reliable car as she was starting to be a bit temperamental as she got older.

Ladies, thinking of ordering a leather wallet for hubby for his anniversary gift for our 3 years, it'll be delivered when we get back if I order it now.

Options are personalised one from @[email protected] 0f 10nd0n for £95 or from [email protected] for £201 not personalised but has a thin mesh inside hidden in the lining to help avoid cards being scanned for security. Evidently will be a difference in quality with the [email protected] one being better .....................which would you get? I could pay an additional £23 to personalise the [email protected] one. Hubby has a [email protected] one at the moment as his sister bought it for him years ago.

IDL that's a tough one. I love the idea of the safety mesh but that's a lot to pay for it.

Any baby news yet?

No baby yet. The latest is they put in the final prostaglandin gel at 4:30 this morning, and it acts over six hours, so they'll reexamine at 10:30. The contractions eased up yesterday evening and I was able to sleep for four hours straight, brilliant for me, then I dosed on and off after I'd come off the monitor (they monitor the baby for an hour after doing anything). The contractions are stronger now, but bouncing on a birthing ball is helping. The hope is that at 10:30 they'll decide that enough progress has been made that they can break my waters, which will mean going to the delivery suite. If they can't break the waters by then I think we are out of options, as they only give three gels, so then I think they would do a c-section. There is a drip but I think they only use that to speed thing up later on.

Morning ladies, not quite the morning I had planned this morning! Dropped OH off at work, was almost at work myself then I get a phone call from OH saying he's forgotten his keys for the shop.... so I had to go back and get him, go back home to pick up the keys, drop him back at work then get myself to work. Only ended up being an hour late - all because some idiot forgot his keys!!! *sigh*

Haha, my OH is the complete opposite. The second he sees any sign of wear on his wallet he wants a new one. I wouldn't mind but there is rarely any money in it! He has a lovely one now so fingers crossed it will last a while.

Lol Emily, I guess I'm grateful mine isn't like that but somewhere in between would be nice.

OMG GF you poor thing, I'd be livid if hubby did that here! You're not being OCD.

I took a picture of it and sent it to him telling him not to do it anymore and how he must have known it was there as it would not have just suddenly appeared. He has read it but not replied. Scrubbed it off and hopefully he won't do it again.

ONe of the MWs I work with is going the the Barcelona grand prix, she got a really good deal. Flights, hotel, tickets to the GP, travel to the GP there and back for the three days, all for £600 per person. Rude not to really.
