OH gone to work, LO asleep. Just tidied the kitchen and going to clean the bathroom in a sec

Just done my meter reading on gas and electric and luckily in credit with them.... Our gas payment has come down £11 a month so that's good, come 'winter' we will be able to put it back up and keep warm.....

On paper I have more coming in than going out but at the minute it's all pay pay pay.... Fed up of it!!

Once the wedding is paid, I'll no longer be dealing with the house bills alone.... OH and I will be putting our finances together and dealing as 1 which will help massively!

Felt so much brighter coming into work today knowing I have less than a month :) Countdown is on!

Not fantastic news on the other job front as they want me to go in for a half a day. Trying to sort out the annual leave with work now. Have been told that its very close between me and someone else. Fingers crossed!

Wardrobes went up yesterday :)
Cleaned the oven. put 0v3npr1d3 on it on sat night then spent an hour and a half Sunday morning cleaning it. It was disgusting. We hadn't used it yet as couldn't stomach it but now its much better. Not 100% but fantastic in comparison!!

Got to get our house tidied tonight as the estate agent photographer is coming round tomorrow to take the pictures ready to put it on sale.

We have a home care cover plan with 8r1t15h g@5. Cheeky company renewal quote gets more and more expensive every year, I usually get a small reduction when I phone to moan about it. So call today, I quote another company offering same service at £164 cheaper, straight away its like let me see what I can do............... max discount they can give me is 30% off, that gives me discount of £162 for the year! I'm not going to argue about £2 so said I'd stay.

All these type of insurance companies are terrible at increasing prices for loyal customers.

Hi EC, lovely that he got to meet your grandparents. That's one of my dreams that when / if we have children that its soon enough for them to meet OHs grandparents. Breaks my heart my nan wont get to see them xx

IDL that's great! Annoys me that they put it up every year. Same with all insurances, they are just prying on the people who don't bother checking.
We need to sort out our gas and electric.. might wait until we get the first bill and then use that to get quotes

I saved that on my car insurance when my old one broke. My current company wanted an extra £600 for 6 months, the remainder of the year.

Shopped around and managed to get a full year for only £100 more than a full year with my other car was. Is a bigger engine and took my parents off the insurance as they wont be able to borrow it now we've moved house (mom used to use my car a lot so made sense for her to be on it) so I was well chuffed!! Meant I moved back to my old insurance company too who I preferred too.

I wish! Mine was still £750

It has come down a lot though since I passed so am happy with it and we include it in our budget for more than we pay to ensure its covered.
Came down 500 the first yr and 200 the following 2 years so is moving relatively quickly..

I was 19 when I passed so not had it that long. Am impressed in how much it's dropped though.

I called the agency to arrange my half day visit with this company and they haven't called me back. :( will call again when I leave work.

My dad is one generous dad who loves spending time with his girls, even more special now mum isn't here, each year he treats us- last year we went to the races at York, this year we are going to the drag racing in September at Santa pod and now next year a holiday - he's worked hard all his life and thought him and mum would have a long happy retirement where they could travel the world and go in cruises and doing things they loved. Unfortunately he never really got the chance so doing things together helps fill his big empty heart xx

Hello everyone, I haven't been around for ages but I finally finished college and got qualified so life is getting back to normal at last. I have been popping on and having a look at how you all are from time to time though. I've felt really nosey having a look and not saying anything but I've had nothing other than dull exams for the last four months.

Hi all. I haven't been on much, been like a zombie doing a mix of days and nights at work. Worked the past 3 nights...looking forward to getting into my own bed tonight, there's nothing better.

I've been saying for so long id like new bedroom furniture but to be honest there's nothing wrong with it, it's just not the nicest. So I decided to paint it using chalk paint. Started today but hubby decided he'd fancy a go so I let him take over lol. He's done one wardrobe, chest of drawers and bedside lockers. Only one wardrobe to go and it's looking fab. Have done it cream. We left our bed as it's fairly new, it's oak so gonna put oak knobs on the furniture. Going tomorrow to buy new table lamp, photo frames etc. can't wait to see the finished products. Will post pics when done!!

We booked a weekend away to the seaside on August at the weekend, can't wait LO will love it. Then 2 weeks after that we are off glamping for a couple of nights
