Went to bed about 11:45, rather than our usual of 12:30ish, which should be fine given I don't need to be up until 8:30. However I woke up needing the loo at 5:30 and couldn't get back to sleep. I know I'll be waking up a lot in the middle of the night when the baby arrives, but I won't be pregnant then, and I'll be off work so hopefully I can nap during the day. I might talk to the midwife about it, even when I'mnot pregnant I struggle on six hours.

I'm feeling a whole lot better today, goodness knows what it actually was yesterday, no actual d&v but felt like it. Today all is good, or so I thought. Put some laundry on, sorted some laundry and boom, feeling whacked out and lightheaded. So having a drink of water and then getting back to it. It needs doing and I am a long day at work tomorrow (on my annual leave), would really like to get the covers off the sofa and wash them but don't think they would dry in time.

Hoovered under the sofa cushions and down the sides, and pulled the sofas out and hoovered behind them. Found a million Bobby pins. All the cr@p that people have laying around is going in a pile on the table and it will be moved later, if not it will simply go into the bin.

Unsure whether to put the laundry out, don't think it will do much out there, very damp but not raining,

LO went to school early for breakfast club that she loves. I've washed my hair then bleached bath again due to pink dye colouring it,lol.
GF when I wash my sofa covers a cover it with duvet covers until covers are dry. That way it's still protected from spills and mess. Just an idea if it's too wet out to dry on line. not so foggy here today,
Went to doctors about my back - they have put me on painkillers stronger than before if no better after weekend to go back as I might need an mri. Fingers crossed it doesn't get to that point. Xx

The weather is all over the place at the moment. I may stick some bits on the line and the rest on the airer near the open back door. The sun is trying to come out at the moment.

Still in my pjs, but think what is the point in getting changed. May as well wait until after I am done. Need to do the kitchen then I am heading downstairs to do the hall way and the girls bathroom, then upstairs, do my son's bathroom and then our room.

Well I've had the day from hell already...

Took LO to the shops this morning to meet my mum. Thought I'd go in OH 4x4 as the fog was bad. Met mum, did shopping. Went to pull out the car parking space and didn't realise there was a yellow post on the passenger side and it's took the front wheel arch off. The colour from my face went white, felt sick and couldn't stop shaking. I got out the car and looked and just cried. All I kept thinking was OH is going to kill me. LO was in the car laughing as he didn't know what was happening. Mum came to see what had happened as shed not left yet. She ended up phoning my OH to tell him what had happened and he was more worried about LO and I not the car. Mum and I managed to pull the rest of the wheel arch off and put it in the boot.
I cried all the way home.

I was so great full that mum phoned OH as at least now it's broke the ice and they love spoke

Phoned OH when I'd got home and he was so nice about it all but I'm still dreading him coming home and seeing it

Got a headache starting and my back aches from all the bending over and pulling furniture out etc.

Glad you're ok Mrs Wade to be. It is horrible when that kind of thing happens. I got stuck against someone's car in the carpark once because they'd blocked me in and I thought I could get out but I couldn't. I took the blame as they'd parked on a single yellow but with a blue badge, and as they weren't in the car it was definitely my error of judgement. It was only later that someone said blue badge holders can only park on single yellows if it's not inconveniencing someone else.

We're thin on the ground today. Of a team of nine (most part-time) one is not in on a Wednesday anyway and two are on annual leave. Two others are off ill including the boss. Two only work the morning, leaving myself and the senior library assistant to cover the afternoon. One of the people who is ill was supposed to work this evening, so the senior library assistant has agreed to stay late as she owes some time anyway, and she can take a break this afternoon. She's now been in to the office to get paracetemol. I wouldn't want to stay and do the extra hours after what happened on Sunday, but fortunately the assistant librarian has said if Rosanne can't stay to close the library early, as we're just too thin on the ground. The boss will hopefully be in tomorrow, but her husband has been sent home by a GP with suspected mumps so she has to be careful, particularly with me around. Apparently he had mumps as a child and they've both had the MMR so it shouldn't be mumps, just a bad infection, but there's no guarantees and you can't be too careful. If she does come in we'll have to keep hand hygiene very strict and not share anything. When I see the midwife tomorrow lunchtime I'll mention it to her, as I know they check immunity to some things at the 12 week bloods, and I'm not sure if mumps is one of those. I had the MMR in May, but only one jab as I had already had measles and rubella vaccines as a kid. I'm in the generation that didn't routinely get vaccinated against mumps as the MMR hadn't come in, and mumps wasn't prevalent so it wasn't done as a separate vaccine. Hopefully she won't be infected, she has been full of cold but her symptoms are improving. I'm sure she won't take risks if she is in any doubt.

EC, part of the routine booking bloods is to determine if you have the rubella antibodies present or not. If you don't, they won't give it to you in pregnancy but will give it to you before you leave the hospital post natal.

Been out and done th grocery shopping, got a bit more and spent a bit more than anticipated but saves going out again until after the weekend, for some reason my freezer is full, but not of meals! Work that one out!

    Feel totally drained now though.

Afternoon all hope everyone is ok!

Sorry to hear about your little bump mmw2b at least everyone is ok :)

Had a busy two days; our flight home was delayed An hour or so on Monday night so we landed in glasgow at 12.45 in the evening an my back was sore but as it was my company car that only me and oh are insured on my mum and dad couldn't help with the driving so I had a 3.5 hour journey home in the fog to contend with - the relief when I made it he safe was immense!

I literally only put the key in the house door at 4.30am and I heard ozzy howling so I said its only me and he came flying down the stairs barking like mad and jumped on the sofa backing away from me thinking I was a burglar but when he realised it was me he mobbed me!

I jumped into bed for all of three hours and did some work from 8am then mum picked me up to go to the hospital to get my first steroid injection in my back at 4 yesterday. I was so nervous ... The consultant told me it wouldn't be half as bad as I was expecting but I'd been telling myself the local anaesthetic needle would only feel like the acupuncture I'd had but how wrong I was! It felt like being stung by a wasp over and over again although I didn't feel the main needle. The female nurse had to hold my hand I was shaking that much and shed a tear :(

After he did it I asked if I could exercise and he said definitely not for a few days then light exercise for a month or two

I then asked if what I had was similar to arthritis and he said no it's just muscle Sprain but at my consultation a few weeks ago he said it was facet joint degeneration so now I'm uber confused. I had it all done privately too so my gp won't have access to my mri's so i don't know what to do he's told me two totally different things. I didn't think muscle sprain would show on an mri and his exact words were the mri shows degeneration in the facet joints of the lumbar spine which should not have happened for another 20 years. I'm baffled.

It was mums birthday yesterday too so straight after my injection we went to pick her dog up from grandads and he went bonkers too lol then went home and had a s@1mbur13s Indian which was super yummy after my day! Mum loved her pressies but had to dash to netball so we came home and had an early night. I struggled to get comfy because my back is tender from the injection but once I fell asleep I slept straight through. Busy busy with work now!

Glad it's all done for you Becci. Local anaesthetic injections do sting, I had three when I had a dog bite in my hand and had to have stitches. The only good thing is that you know they are only a few seconds each, and then the pain will be over. With my hand I started counting down from 100, as I was reasonably confident they'd be done before I got to zero. I think I got to 60.

Yes GF I knew they checked for rubella. One of my colleagues who has two children warned me to make sure I had immunity before I got pregnant. She found out at her first scan for her first pregnancy that she didn't, so they gave it to her literally as she was leaving the hospital after giving birth, so she wouldn't be around pregnant ladies right after having the jab.

Lol EC ... I totally shouldn't have talked myself into thinking theyd be like acupuncture but I'm so scared of needles it's the only way I could go through with it.

It wasn't super painful but was uncomfortable you could feel the needle being waggled about to numb the whole area - not sure I'd have another one done given the choice! The pain hasnt stopped yet but some people say it takes 3 weeks for the injection to work and I think my back might have bruised slightly as it feels a bit strange still near where he did the injection. Keeping my fingers crossed!!

I think your local anaethetic probably was more painful than mine because it was an open wound plus you had the added disadvantage of being able to see it.. At least i didn't see any of the needles!

I was at least aware that it would sting. I just knew that I'd sooner take that than the stitches. I'd had a local at the dentist a couple of times and it was similar to that. I generally do look away with needles, even having blood taken which barely hurts, and I did on that occasion as well but as my hand was in front of me I could still see out of the corner of my eye. I'm not bad with needles really, although I'd never choose to have a piercing done, I can cope when they're necessary.

I could never go through with routine injections at school if I ever saw the needle id involuntary jump out of my seat away from the needle so quite often had to be held down so I didn't hurt myself. Yet I was able to get my ears pierced and my belly button?!

I don't get it very odd!!

My twin brother has a huge phobia of needles. He fainted when we had the tetanus, polio and diphtheria boosters and refused to have the meningitis jab, despite us pointing out that meningitis would be far worse than the needle. He tried to explain that it wasn't just the injection, it was the fear and worry in the run-up which would make him feel physically ill. He couldn't get that all that would end once the injection was done, whereas meningitis has so definite end point. Maybe the thing with piercings is that it is a choice rather than something you're being told you have to have done? Piercings are a beauty accessory rather than a health thing, so I wonder if people perceive them in a different way because it's not a medical thing. Plus I think piercings are probably quicker (although I've never had one).

It's a Toyota Land Cruiser. Just been on the internet looking to see how much they are but don't really know what I am looking for. Will have to get OH to phone the local Toyota garage

Steer clear of T0y0ta main dealers as dealers charge an arm and a leg- you're best off trying eBay or going to a bodyshop :) x

I haven't had the cervical cancer jab either because I was older by the time it came in, and there was no catch up programme like there was with the meningitis jab. I'm pretty low risk so haven't been too worried about asking for it, although if it was offered I'd probably take it. I had the flu jab this year for the first time due to being pregnant. When I was eligible for it as a student in a shared house I never bothered.

30th August 2014 was the best birthday ever.
It was the day that I became Mrs. Dixon.
