Oh god can you imagine... I think I've already mentioned to her I was getting gowns so think we're safe!!

I don't want to sound really ungrateful but I think they should have asked before they bought - surely that's normally something the bride would organise? Even if they wanted to keep it a surprise, they could have just casually asked me if I was planning on doing anything like that for the morning then they would have known. Oh well - least we'll be stocked up on gowns for a while :)

See I don't know. I have been considering getting them but have thought that I don't know if my sister will as a surprise. But I wouldn't expect her to. I would expect the bride to as its primarily for photo opportunities so of little interest to them

I feel a bit like that too. I've been a bit grumpy with OH this week as he doesn't like to eat until late so by the time we actually got to sit down last night it was 9pm.

That's a pain. I'm still waiting for mine to arrive - they did say around 18th May, but also not received my hangers either, so think I am going to email the company now for an update.

A bit slow at the moment but fingers crossed it will pick up.. not sure how long this shop has been closed for before this week, but it was a busy shop before and has been there for over 100 years. He's on his own in there at the moment so has been getting a bit bored - he's a bit worried at the moment as if he was truly self employed he wouldn't be making anywhere near enough money, but the main thing at the moment is that he is getting paid. Still early days :)

I'm thinking that too Sarah. LO got me up at 5.30 and has been a nightmare all day.

OH came home from work and gone straight in the bath. He's still on there over an hour later

Trying to get LO to tidy up. Asked him a million times to tidy what he's got our before he gets playdoh out and all he does is moan because I won't give in. Argh!!!

Emily, I feel your pain regarding your car. I've been having a nightmare regarding cars since the beginning of April
My little c0r$@ died on me on my way home from work at the start of April, which meant we couldn't go up to Scotland for my uncles surprise birthday bash on the 9th. Then we got another car with what money we had, that started breaking down within 10 days of getting it. It's a long story but basically trading standards are now involved and we're trying to get our money back on it. Thankfully hubby's brother has come to our rescue and helped us to get another car as we've no savings left at all! (I'm terrible with money, I too live in my overdraft at the moment) Sorry for the whinge there!

I'm on the ward and have a bed, but no idea when inductions will be restarted. The midwives are ready and waiting for the go ahead. They need to start soon as otherwise they'll be carrying the bscklog into tomorrow, and others who are two weeks over will get held up.

Evening all- woukd say tgif but I'm working tomoz :(

Had an eventful journey home too- was walking across the road and suddenly this school lad just collapsed and started to have a fit and foam at the mouth just as the lights turned green!

Everyone was in a panic- I was like, someone stop the traffic, someone give me something to put under his head and someone call ambulance.

Then suddenly out of nowhere a fire crew appeared- fever been so grateful! They were in thtraffic and wondered what was going on- they took over and luckily the ambulance arrived just in time.

It's crazy that people wiener ignore and walk on or just go into this mad panic!

I'm one of these calm collects people who can make snap decisions and act fast so guess I'm used to taking charge

Evening all

Ec, I have a feeling once you get started it will work, just by the sounds that there has been changes already, and being term +. It seems that most places are rammed, we had a full ward of women last night at work, it was crazy, then we had three on labour ward, two had delivered, one not, but there was no beds for them, we had to open up the antenatal triage room to put them in there. Was manic. Most should have gone home today though. So excited for you Ec, really hope you have a good experience.

Well I've been induced. It's the 24 hour pessary I've been given, apparently I'm not that close. You never know though, I could respond quickly. They'll review at 7 pm tomorrow. It does mean hubby can go home and get some sleep, and if things do happen sooner I can ring him and get him back, as we live quite close.

My car is officially dead. I spoke to the mechanic and he said I could try this but if that doesn't work I could try this. He didn't sound hopeful to get it started full stop. Said that if he did manage it then it wouldn't be running nicely anyway so in his opinion it wasn't worth it..

Oh left a few weeks ago for a week at work and our front door lock was sticking so when I pulled the handle up to lock it, it wasn't working properly so I eventually got it closed and used the back door until he got back haha
