Back home. No sweep today, but I'm at the midwife clinic tomorrow lunchtime so it may be that they will try another sweep there. I'm just really hoping I don't get sent back with high BP again. The doctor said as my blood pressure had settled and bloods were fine there was no need to bring induction forward. Monitoring was fine too.

He's drinking fluids but not eating GF. Will have to give it a go
It's slightly better than giving them some multi vits as its got extra stuff in to give them a real boost to get better. As long as he's keeping hydrated, don't force him to eat, he will when ready.
Thankfully all the pavements have redone here. What gets me though is, where our house is there was a dropped kerb purely because it used to be the garage and land to the side of the house next door. There is no way that another drive could be added to the front of the house now so pointless it being there. They replaced a couple of the kerb stones whilst doing it but left it as a dropped kerb. It would have made more sense to keep it in line with the rest, and maybe be allowed and extra parking space being allocated instead as the parking is bayed off. Maybe they will still allow it.

Had an interesting phone call with my mum yesterday evening regarding her getting back with her ex and him coming to the wedding etc etc... feeling very much like piggy in the middle at the moment as I want to support my mum and whilst I won't be best friends with this guy, I will be civil for her sake, but OH has very rigid views that are upsetting my mum...

Had a rubbish nights sleep again. Was up at 12:40 then finally dropped off again about 2 nit was wide awake at 4! Got out of bed at 5:30. Got so much done this morning though was great! Cooked a shepherds pie as well as fajitas last night so there was a lot of washing up to do.

Thanks Emily. She wants the 4 of us to meet up for coffee or something before the wedding, which is going to be awkward as hell...!!! How do you pretend to like or get on with someone who has repeatedly hurt and messed about someone you love and care about so much? She's really upset about it as she feels there is conflict but that's his fault not ours.

He got 36 months supervised community order, sex offenders register and some different orders (they didn't go into detail on them) But he's escaped a prison sentence. X

Obviously I don't know the ins and the outs, but he sounds very lucky not to have been given a prison sentence... I am actually very surprised!!! His life will be extremely hard now that he is on the sex offenders register though. I know it's no consolation, but his life will never be the same again.

Yes Flossie, that's the only consolation I'm getting out of it. The fact he lives in a tiny village and everybody knows. He won't be able to do anything he used to do. But that's what you get when you're a despicable human being!

Susan, I am surprised that he has dodged prison! Although like you say he wont be able to do ordinary things now for the rest of his life. Even going shopping, if people know what he has done they will be looking etc. Plus to get a job with that on your record will not be easy...

The weather here was quite deceiving. I sat out at lunchtime, it was glorious when the wind was not blowing. Ended up coming in and having a snooze on the sofa ready for my night shift.

It's been a gorgeous day today but like others, I've been stuck in the office all day. I did get home at 5.30 and made the most of the weather though.... I've mowed and strimmed the lawn and weeded as much of the boarders as I could. I'll finish the rest tomorrow but I found it very therapeutic and it looks nice again now!!

Michelle I'm being induced tomorrow. I've resigned myself to the fact that labour is not going to begin spontaneously. I'm keeping fingers crossed for the baby to arrive by Saturday lunchtime, when my Dad has to go back to Northumberland, but I know it could take until Sunday for anything to happen. Hopefully he's near enough that it won't be too long a process.

Fingers crossed for you EC. I went in to be induced, they managed to break my waters and from arrival at hospital to arrival of my daughter was total time of 4hrs 35 mins. Hopefully LO will arrive before you father has to leave. Best wishes x

Maxine I'd be very happy with that. One friend from church was induced at lunchtime and delivered at midnight, which I'd also be happy with. I'm not keen on having to wait overnight, particularly if it means my husband going home. I doubt he'll be able to stay there through the night, so then I have to make the right call as to when to call him back.
