Bit more success with the sweep this morning, things do seem to be moving in the right direction. The head apparently isn't in a great place, but hopefully it will move down if the waters break. The midwife thinks he might be back to back, and given that I've had back ache that would fit. He's been that awkward with everything else, it makes sense he'd be awkward with that too.

Ahh sounding promising then EC if there is a change. I've had women whose babies have been int eh OP position (back to back) all through labour and then delivered in the OA position. Once they get their head into a comfy position they are all good.

Popped out to the shops to get my daughter some new bras as she has outgrown her other ones. Had to move the car as I was in the shower and the workmen knocked the door asking to move it so thought may as well just pop out and get them whilst I was out.

Been out and about on my lunch break. Had to go and pay some money into OH's account as he doesn't have the chance to at the moment, it's over the other side of town but I had a parcel to collect from the sorting office too so did that at the same time. Popped into @sd@ whilst I was there and got some lunch. Getting really warm out there!!

Afternoon ladies.

Decided to sod it and go have a clean up in the garden, swept the patio and cleared the mess up the boys had made, then sat in the sunshine for an hour before coming back in and hoovering downstairs hallway and sorting some stuff out in the tumble drier, one of my comfy bras has broke,gutted.

There is also more sign of the mucus plug giving way. There hasn't been a big show but there has been some more mucus-like discharge, and one small bit was quite thick and a tiny bit pinkish. That was not long after the sweep so maybe it did something. There will be another house call tomorrow just to check on my blood pressure, as there have been three appointments now when it has started high. However it usually settles by the time they recheck it, and I think it's just because I'm anxious about the sweeps. I doubt I'll have a sweep tomorrow so I'll be a bit more relaxed. Even if I do have one I'm finding that they are becoming easier and less painful, so I'm not so anxious.

Went out for a curry tonight with a friend of hubby. It involved a fair walk as well so hopefully both of those things will have helped. I'm still hopeful that I might go into labour spontaneously before Friday.

Sleepless night tonight, I've been wide awake since 4:30. I think I ate too much curry last night, either that or the coffee was a mistake. Will probably get up soon as I've got a midwife visit just to keep an eye on my blood pressure, then I can try to sleep later on.

Morning all.

Ahhh Ec, hope things happen soon for you.

Today's plan is to do a quick tidy up, then sit in the garden for a bit. I was meant to be working tonight but one of my work besties asked me to changed my shift tonight for her, first asked if I could do Saturday or Sunday night, I said nope to those, but if she was doing the 16th I could tag that onto my 17/18/19th nights. Means I have four in a row which I don't like but if it helps out one of the people I like I don't mind, others I may not be so forthcoming.

Went to body pump last night, was meant to be going with my eldest's girlfriend, but she text as I was waiting saying she was still at work so went on my own. Was a busy class and I felt I pushed myself. Came home, had dinner and then chilled watching a bit of television and then I had to be in bed by 10 as I was falling asleep.

Morning. OH was in the bad books last night.. He took my car to football so he could fill it up with petrol but took his keys with him as well and had locked the door. So I was locked in the house. Went into a major panic and spent half the night crying until he came home. He didn't see what the big deal was.
Then when he got home My car was broken. He thought it had just over heated so we tried to add more water but it was just running straight through. No idea what he has done to it.. just hoping that he can get it fixed asap. Typical that it had just had a full tank of petrol in it! he is going to call the recovery today and get taken to a garage. We had to get one of the neighbours out of bed to push it up the hill to the house....

Finally got to bed and one of the cats were crying outside our bedroom door. We both got up o check him and he was fine but when we went back to bed carried on crying. I ended up going to sleep in my aunts bed to comfort him and he jumped up and ran over for snuggles. Turns out he just wanted some love but my aunt doesn't allow them into the guest room. Cant say I was disappointed to be away from OH hahaha!

We had a lazy night in last night - bought loads of party food type nibbles before I picked OH up from work and just stuffed our faces whilst watching a film. Was much needed. Feel like cr@p this morning - had a sore throat yesterday which is normally the start of a cold for me, and it's definitely now landed. Was probably from Saturday night when we were walking round Bournemouth in the freezing cold trying to find a bloody taxi!!

Meeting my mum for lunch today so I can catch her up on the hen etc. Two of the girls have got their bm dress alterations this evening too so hoping that goes ok.

Ooh I love sleeping with cats Emily. When I lodged with a friend her cat would often come into my room and snuggle up with me. Sometimes she would slip under the covers. Her purr was so soothing.

Oh no Emily, hope the car does not cost to much to repair.

I had a cuppa in the garden whilst everyone had gone, it was lovely apart from the digging up the pavement outside the house. I am now trapped in here as outside our path the whole pavement is rubble.nneed to pop to town at some point to get bread and some anti inflammatory gel for my knees, they are playing up today. Too much body pump most likely. Funny thing is they don't hurt whilst doing it.

First load of laundry on the line, second load in the machine. It's beaut here today

Car now at garage and they think it might be the radiator. Looked online and they are saying about £150 so not too bad. Much more than that and we would be having a conversation as to if it's worth getting it done as my car isn't worth a lot at all now and will be the next one to change.
Only problem is that they are predicting a week for it to be fixed! :(

Flossie, wish it was warm here! But saying that we have no windows so get no heat from sun.

EC I do love sleeping with cats. Our Timmy will snuggle under the quilt too and if you start to fall asleep while snuggling him before hes asleep he starts to nip your hand to wake you up to snuggle him more. Adorable
My old cat Beth would sleep on the pillow next to your head. She had a really loud purr. Was beautiful x

Back in the obstetric assessment unit again, blood pressure is still high. I've been here an hour, and if previous visits are anything to go by I can expect to be here another four. Last time I was here my BP settled, but even if it does they might induce today, as I'm only two days off being induced anyway. I won't be sorry to see the back of this waiting room, the staff in the unit are lovely but it takes so long to be seen, and even after having basic obs done it can be a wait of a couple of hours before getting to monitoring. This is my third time here, twice in a week, so I really hope it's the last one. The other lady from my ante-natal class who hasn't yet given birth is also here to check on the movement of her baby, and the lady who had a big baby last week is elsewhere in the hospital to rule out a DVT because her leg has swollen. We'd talked about meeting up this week, we hadn't intended it to be in the hospital.

The cases I was trying to get resolved on Thursday for month end are so so almost there. I am expecting to get the news that the system is live for me to process them within the next 15 mins. I actually am really excited and quite emotional. It will be a huge weight lifted off the entire department and such a massive relief! Have just text OH to make sure there's a bottle of wine in the fridge :)

Blood pressure back down. So annoying, if it had done that this morning I wouldn't have needed to come in, now I'm stuck waiting for monitoring. I was starting to get my head around being induced today, but now I'm thinking I might well get sent home. I do wish my BP would make its mind up, rather than me going back and forth having checks. At least I know I will be induced on Friday if not before, and I suppose they could still decide to do it today or tomorrow to avoid any more high blood pressure.

Had an eventful afternoon after if been to the gym. LO went limp like, his temp was over 40 and he was so hot go touch. Phoned the dr and had to take him straight in. Phoned OH and he rushed back from work to come with us.

Dr has given him penicillin and ibuprofen.
