Miserable weather in Cardiff today. Got splashed walking down the road as well, it's always the same in the rain. Drivers just don't care so you have to wait for a gap and go quickly past the puddle. Unfortunately this was on a corner so I couldn't see if anyone was coming, and there were traffic cones taking it from two lanes to one so any drivers that did want to avoid a puddle couldn't steer away from it. I don't know why they can't just slow down, everyone surely knows that North Road is bad in the rain. The bus drivers certainly should.
We've had the news from the interviews last week. The girl I thought would get my maternity cover did, and I'm really happy with that, she did seem to be the strongest of the people I showed round. There was someone else I would have liked to get it but she only applied for the second post, which is a part time casual role. That went to someone else as well, which I was really surprised about, as the girl I thought would get it has worked with us before and we all like working with her. The other girl must have done a far better interview than the girl that we know.

Emily, then yesterday after I told hi how I felt he then started with te hello babe texts, without actually saying sorry to me. Then when he got home, hardly spoke to me. So if he started with th hello babe texts today I was going to tell him not to bother if he cannot be bothered being nice to my face, but he got home about 45 minutes ago.
Shopping has been delivered, I'm going to pop into town to get the pack up stuff and some veggies I like picking out, and maybe pop into f@t f@ce as they have a sale on

Tided up and hoovered.
OH was home when I got back from town at 10.30. He's full of cold so was sat on the settee. He's got to go back to work for an hour this afternoon but that's it.
Had a lovely morning at my sons school for the Mother's Day brunch!! Was going food shopping but I've had to stay in as got a message to say that my save the dates are being delivered today!! So looks like an online food shop is going to be done now :( just hope they come before school run!!

Was just moving a vase of flowers off the table so I could get my nails done, I was holding it by the top and the piece I was holding just snapped off and the whole vase shattered. No idea how it happened but going to have to run out and get a new vase now!

It's available to view in catch up, their advert for catch up states that you never need to miss an episode, yet that's false as if we wanted to watch season 11 we would have to miss out on th first two episodes,

Just discovered I'm entitled to a maternity grant from the Musician's Union with me being a member. I was going to cancel the membership to keep costs down while I'm on maternity leave, but the grant of £250 will more than cover the membership cost, so I can stay in now. Nice unexpected news.

I've applied for a job this morning with a local company.....
It's 5 minutes away from LO school, £3k more a year and it's for Export sales Administrator in which I have vast experience in all the areas in what they are looking for.....
Funnily enough, I know one of the directors (not well) so I'm in 2 minds if to contact him to tell him I've applied.... I can't help but think that's cheating a little but nowadays it's sometimes a case of its not what you know it's who you know....
I'm not very confident and doubt myself all the time so I don't even think I'll get an interview but hey, if you don't try, you never know!
