Wedding Forum - GENERAL CHINWAG THREAD w/c 29th August...

Super excited - I get to see both my girls tomorrow - they are coming down so we can go dress shopping, and also to view our venue.
Then taking my youngest back to her new Uni digs on Saturday - that will probably be the last time I see her before xmas.

I've dropped Lo off at nursery for the morning. Going for a pedicure this morning and having some fancy nail art etc on my toes ready for holiday. Not had one since I was at college so will be nice to have a little pamper. Having my eyebrows waxed too. They look like giant slugs!! Not had them done since the week before the wedding haha

Need to find a dress for a wedding we've got Saturday too. Will probably take lo in to town this afternoon or tomorrow to have a look

First day of autumn today. I just want to be on holiday.

Busy week this week. Monday we were showing a friend of hubby round Cardiff. Good day although Joseph got fed up. Tuesday was my birthday and our wedding anniversary. We had a nice meal in, we're going out on Friday. I went out for coffee in the afternoon with one of the other NCT mums. I've been spending birthday money as well, I've got a spa day to book and some gift vouchers.

Hi everyone. LO is at crèche today so I'm spending the day cleaning - lovely! Then going to pick him up early and take him to get new shoes for starting pre school next week. Hope everyone has a nice day

Pump was good, our instructor now asks us to do a star track and I picked lunges today and concentrated on my technique. My legs were like jelly after.

Off to work soon, sun is shining, could have been enjoying it as well.

Today has been so slow at work. Woke up to cat sick all over the rug and a cat that was still throwing up, H2B didn't want to 'disturb' the cat and let it throw up on the rug in the other room...yay me!

Went shopping with my mum and dad yesterday in Manchester and managed to buy something to wear on my hen do....black which is not what I was expecting but hey ho.
Just need to keep up the good work at the gym now because it is Skin tight!! Girls at work all approve I did a mini fashion show earlier for them. I originally bought 2 dresses but my dad aid I look too manly in one of them (I have muscles).

Trying my best to grow my nails as I'm a horrible biter...I know I know it's nasty but I really can't stop, in fact I've bitten my nails whilst typing this I have just realised!

Can't wait for the weekend although I know it's just going to be filled with housework and DIY and trying not to binge eat.

My youngest Sister got engaged last week while she was on holiday in Croatia. On her birthday too :o) So exciting as we never thought her boyfriend was going to propose!

I know TNMB, real shame. Oh well, maybe I should only get earrings from them then size shouldn't be a problem.

Off to the doctors this morning to hopefully get my ears syringed! Have been putting in ear drops for the last two weeks and I think they've made my hearing even worse! It will be nice to be able to hear again properly and not have to have my TV up old lady loud!!

OH home from Portugal late afternoon - he had a horrible task of having to sack the General Manager yesterday. So I think for us it's going to be a chill out weekend.

Also started watching C0ld F££t again on the player last night. I used to love this show back in the late 90s / early 00s. Funny thing is watching it last night, I can identify with the characters more now and it's funnier than I remember - probably because they are all 30 somethings and the problems and situations are the same!

Grrr trying to get hold of $ky as I want to bargain with them and reduce my costs. Phone lines are down there.

It's their lines which are down, not my personal one. The website is not helpful either. I've just messaged them on the book face asking if they have an idea of how long they will be down for as the website is proving to be unhelpful for what I need to discuss.

Was considering changing from T@lk T@lk to 5ky. My broadband at home is always cutting out. Are they usually good?

Generally I find $ky ok but there are occasional problems. To be honest I think there are with any provider!

Morning everyone! Morning Emm.

Been to the gym for my class, popped to the supermarket for some bits and got bleach down en suite toilet to clean later and got laundry on.

Thankfully last night when I got home I cleaned the downstairs loo and family bathroom before we went out for dinner so I have less cleaning to do today. I put bleach down the loos before I went to work so they were ready to clean when I got in. I did the same last week and I think it's the way to go to make my weekend just that little it more relaxing.

I've also ordered birthday present for hubby online this morning and went to the post office to post back those rings that were too big for me.

Later I need to pop up to the high street to pick up some essentials from 800t5, ordered online so just need to pick up from store when I get the message they're delivered. I'll also pick up a birthday card for hubby whilst I'm up there. Hoping the sun continues to shine today, it's gorgeous outside.

We've had noting but rain so far today.... It's cold too!!

Been to the sport shop, been to Mac D for lunch now home chilling whilst it's rubbish outside....

Ive popped a wash load in before I collected LO this morning so that's in the dryer and will attempt to clean though later on.

Never actually got on here yesterday, I worked an early shift, picked up my community bags etc, I was on call last night for the unit and today I am first on call for home births plus working in community. Hubby woke me early with his snoring and I could not get back off to sleep, I tried, then I started to get tired again and it was getting close to getting up so thought I best get up or I would feel worse.

Last night we had no kids, we popped down to the shop to get something for dinner and ended up going to the burger place instead, everywhere was packed as it is Powerboat weekend here with the Cowes-Torquay-Cowes race today.
