If he doesn't leave and you do leave soon when you get something else, will you not have enough time for your mortgage? is it for your earnings being declared that your worried about? xx

Yeah that's the thing. I would only leave here if I was waking into another job but you need 3-6 months with the same company for the earnings.

We are hoping to get a new build so need to go see mortgage advisor asap. OH starts his new job Friday so will be booking 3 months from then. So November. The houses haven't started being built yet but will go very quickly so delays aren't a good thing for us at all..

Yeah thought that was why, depending on the lender they could say 3 or 6 months pay slips, defo go and see a mortgage advisor now they are the best people to help out, we had no clue when we started looking at mortgages but our advisor was great! Have you registered interest with the development? I did that with a few new build developments here and got an email on a few occasions to offer me plots, but we decided against new build so we didn't look at any of the plots offered xx

Yeah we have. we went a few weeks afgo which is how we know they are getting snapped up.

There's one plot almost finished and fully sold and signed for. Another plot to be in by Christmas which is 80% signed for so they are going fast.

We will need to wait for OH anyway as he has been in UNI so not had much of a wage coming in from his part time job which wouldn't get us a mortgage. It's a shame they cant take your contracted salary for the mortgage...

    haha crazy.

Just called OH to see what he wants to do about going shopping so he has something for lunch tonight and he's not gone home yet! If he thinks I'm going to run around sorting him out when he cant be bothered to go home to get food out the freezer he can think again! Forgot I was going out tonight even though I've been super excited talking about it constantly... needs a kick in the head that one does!

Afternoon all! Hope you're all having a great day.

Well, today feels like it's going on forever... and I got up late!

Been looking through local property listings at rentals - would like to be able to move after the wedding (or before if we could afford it) - and the odd sale listing (can always dream, right?)...

Started a new diet yesterday, got a bit of belly podge I'm hoping to lose and want to see what I can do in a couple of months before we go away in Sept as I don't know how well I'll be able to stick to the plan then.

It's called keto, or ketogenic. It's based around low-carb, moderate protein, high-fat meals - I know, it sounds counter-intuitive, but it really seems to work: on one forum I'm on, I'm seeing people with a starting BMI much higher than mine wanting more drastic weight-loss than my hoped-for stone or two, and the progress pics where they're getting amazing results, so I figured I'd give it a shot!

That's fair enough - my friend is trying to get me to do something similar its called C9 (sorry I cant amend that to look like it but not lol) but its lots of tablets and shakes and aloe vera?! You cant eat for 2 days - girl I work with is doing it so i'll see if it works and if so I might bite the bullet. Only thing that annoys me is how expensive they make these diets

That's why I was glad I found out about keto - I've calculated that my average shopping bill will rise by about 20-25% max as I'll be buying a lot more fresh produce and won't be able to bulk out a plate with pasta, chips, or rice. No bread, either, really: I'm gonna miss my wednesday panini and chips in the local cafe every week!

Also, I'm on a semi-vegetarian version as I can't eat red meat (makes me poorly), but I like salads, loads of different veggies, and fish/chicken, so I'm good there.

It's really just a few changes to my shopping list, a little maths while looking at the numbers on packets, and nabbing a few recipes from the keto forums, and I should be dropping the lbs in no time!

Edit: plus my usual moderate exercise on the W!!-F!t, obviously ;)

Should be easy to maintain the loss after, too; I can just increase and decrease my total daily carbs allowance as necessary.

Well today went ok..... The man didn't really give much away to be honest. Both OH and I were a bag of nerves as we didn't know what to expect but he just asked basic questions regarding living arrangements, looked briefly at the house and said that he could see we have a high level of cleanliness etc. asked if he could run a social services check on my LO, which is fine though I will mention it to his dad out of courtesy.

All in all, we didn't get much from it.......however we have done our bit!!

He has to submit his report by the 9th Sept and OH did ask if he can see James at a supervised contact centre in the interim. I bet she refuses!! 817ch!!

    Fingers crossed please ladies

Our day went from bad to worse, took stepson to the doctors, showed her a recording of him seizuring & she said it is 100% a seizure & that the specialist was talking nonsense!! She has referred him to see someone else, so hopefully something will finally get sorted.

Our car has been making a strange noise for a while now so we popped into a garage, they said one of the bearings on the gears has gone & they could fix it for £420!! Rang a mechanic friend he said to ring round for a 2nd hand gear box & he would fit it for £100, we have found one for £200 delivered so £120 cheaper. Not what we need so close to the wedding!!

Mrs R have you thought about getting an @nglec@re sound and movement alarm? I know there meant to be for babies but it comes with a mat that goes on the bed to detect movement it might help warn you when LO has a seizure through the night. I hope he's ok and the new specialist gives him the help he needs. One of the girls at work had a seizure on one of my first management shifts, honestly one of the most scary experiences of my life.

    Morning ladies.

Our landlady replied last night and said she would consider contributing to new flooring if we could give her an idea of the costs and let her know how long we were planning on staying in the property. So going to look more closely at costs and we will see what happens.

OH taking pooch to the vets this morning for a review of his limping so a bit anxious about that. The anti inflammatory tablets have made him sick so we had to take him off them before he finished the course, so it's hard to say if they've really made an improvement but I definitely think he's been walking better. But he's been being sick every day since the middle of Saturday night :( xx

Also, applied for a job yesterday, it's what I'm doing now just at a "senior" level. Not convinced I want to leave this company but the starting salary of this job is £10k more than I'm on now!! So I thought well why not... within about 10 mins I had a voicemail from the recruitment agency saying they're really keen to speak to me about the role further. Now I'm not sure what to do!! I guess it wouldn't hurt just speaking to them but things like this make me so nervous! xx
