Morning ladies..... Can't believe it's Monday already



My manager is off today so it's gonna be a busy one!! Really can't be bothered but need to get myself geared up!

OH gone back to Reading but he's back home Thursday night as he has 3 fillings at the dentist on Friday so needs to get that sorted!

Morning all.

Long day at work today, given the lounge a quick tidy up, sorted dinner for tonight in the slow cooker as hubby may be a bit late so at least the kids can take it out when they are hungry and not have to worry. Now just grabbing my first cuppa before heading off.

Hmmmm, just checked my online banking and woah, I'm skint!!

Just got enough to pay for LO school dinners and breakfast club then wait to get my CB to ease it up til payday......

May have to tap OH up for food shopping lol

It's only tight tight cos it's nearing the end of the month and the rent is due the 1st so I have to pull everything out til I know that's paid, then it's easier



I hate being an adult sometimes!

Morning ladies, had such a busy but good weekend. Went on a 5 mile walk with OH and pooch on Friday which was lovely, then the races Saturday and came back with £150! Won on every race except one and I bet on a 33/1 horse that won, nice bit of money to put towards the wedding, then went to see a comedian on Saturday night who was much better than I expected!

Today is a busy day in work, one of our guys was called into a meeting at 7.30 and was sacked with immediate effect as he has been moonlighting for somebody else, sorting out telling all of our clients and being off Friday means I have loads to catch up on anyway without that!

I remember that happening to me with one eye when I was in primary school, it ended up developing into an eye infection so good thing you are doing something early Mrs M!

Trying to get most of the little things sorted out so that I only have a few things left to do!

Morning all.
Had a horrible nights sleep, ended up on the sofa at 5am and maybe got an hours sleep. Hubby has a snotty cold and blocked sinuses so he is really snoring and kept blowing stale air in my face. Eugh!

Just had my faith in people restored. There are honest people out there!
My OH and I went out for a meal at the local pub last night and I popped my bag under the table, at some point I must have kicked it/knocked it and my purse fell out.
I didn't notice at all! there was nearly £400 in the purse which I had taken out to pay the livery for my horse this month.
Apparently one of the bar staff found the purse when cleaning in the evening, She handed it in to the manager who looked through it to find some ID or an address etc. Another member of the bar staff managed to track me down of facebook and messaged me let me know that the purse had been found and was in their safe and that it still had a large amount of cash in it.
by the time I got the message on facebook it was after midnight so I went and picked it up this morning! got it back, all safe and sound with all money still in it.

I'm going to take them a card and a bit of money for a drink this evening.

Hope all is well with everyone just popped on to see how the court case went em? I hope all went in your favour - I'll have a scroll through the last feed if I get chance today.

Just to give you all some good news that we've accepted an offer on our house today so we're now able to look for a new one and should be moving in April time which is good.

Still not coping with the whole situation surrounding my grandas death, I cry almost every day still the pain is unbearable to loose such an amazing man in such disgusting heart wrenching circumstances. Especially when he had so much to love for and was so healthy. I still expect to see his big smile and help him with his [email protected] a [email protected] pop music questions every Sunday night at our family tea; it still feels like he's here and I can't get my head around never seeing him again.

The funeral was very very difficult the church was full for the first time in a long time according to the vicar and funeral directors showing how popular he was and it hurt so much knowing that he's poor lifeless body that has been through so much was just inside the coffin when just a few days before the accident he was full of life fit and healthy and discussing joining the running club to get in the gym he went to twice a week cheaper.
There's a full police investigation on going and the inquest is set to last at least 4 to 6 months which is so painful and coming from my work background I want to know all the facts about the accident but that just hurts more knowing the details but at the same time I want to know that everything has been done properly, I kept thinking that if we could work out what had happened that day it would bring him back but the reality of that has struck now.

At his funeral his friend did a beautiful reading about all his cycling and life achievements - me and my sister knew he loved his bike and did some serious mileage but we didn't realise that he was the 5th highest mileage cyclist in the 300,000 miles club having done 650000 miles in his lifetime which is the equivalent to 27 times around the world. Such a waste of a brilliant inspirational life.

Me and my sister are running the great north run this year in his memory as its the day before his birthday and we're raising money for the gr3at n0rth a1r ambulance which is a charity he supported throughout his life after they saved his life in the 70's when he was hit by a lorry, they were also there at the scene of his fatal accident so we want to give something back, my back isn't 100% but everytime it hurts I think of granda and just push through it- no more quitting on going for a run because I cba, if anyone wants to donate my justg1v1ng link is on my wall


It still makes me feel sick thinking about what happened and I couldn't eat for two weeks because it physically made me feel sick, everyone keeps saying it gets easier but it doesn't feel like it ever will at the moment

That's a lovely poem Emily - dealing with the death of the person who i was probably closest too as the first death in the family has made it so much harder. When i worked away and i was on long drives even the thought of his death used to make me cry in the car

Then before Christmas I dreamt that he'd died and it really cut me up but you don't think anything of these dreams

Getting the news hit me like I'd been hit by the same horsebox the pain can't even be described; the fact we never got to say goodbye or hold his hand one last time. He left his drive on his bike that morning like normal for his daily ride and he never thought for one minute he wouldn't be returning. Everytime I drive down the roads he cycled on I imagine him riding along its horrible.

I dreamt last week that I had gone round to mums again like i did when i found out granda had died for her to tell me that my step dad had fallen off the roof and died .. physically can't deal with any of it anymore!

I have three viewings tonight now, two tomorrow night one on friday then just waiting for two more property owners to get back in touch with the estate agents There's not a lot on the market for our price/ location/ bedroom/garden/drive / garage specification that we want - we're being quite fussy this time!
Our estate agents have three of the ones we were interested in up then i said there didn;t seem to be much on the market and she said no there isn't really then was like oh actually i have one needing rennovation that went up today but hasn;t even gone on the internet yet she has viewings tonight i'll see if you can go too so she's booked us straight in!! Needs rewiring, kitchen, bathroom etc but sounds like a good project house and as we have a 5% mortgage but will have a good £25k deposit from the sale of this place we could keep some of the money back to get some rennovations done quickly and just pay a bit more monthly to make it more manageable - can't wait to get out there and have a look at some now - feels very real that we're getting a new house but not sunk in we're leaving our beautiful little place - i'm sure there'll be tears

Becci I'm so glad you're back. It was a horrible way for your grandfather to go, and it's awful that you can't move on until the inquest is done. It does sound like he was an amazing man and made every moment count.

Have fun with the viewings. You might find in the next few weeks that more houses come on the market. A lot of people sell in the spring, as that's when most people are looking. Obviously if you see something worth going for then go for it, but don't panic if you don't, as I'm sure there will be plenty more coming up.

Hi everyone, been a bit of a better day today at work and a lovely 30 minute drive home - better than last week when the schoolies were off how does that work?!?!

Becci nice to see you back, glad you feel at least a little better so you feel like you can socialise on here. Looking for a house is definitely the most fun part of a move, enjoy it. How well do you know your uncle? It may be that if you needed to move into your grandpa's house you could have a better experience than you thought and might bring you closer together.

Faye that's amazing, especially with all your cash in there too, restores the faith hearing stories like that! :)

Just thought I'd share if anyone was interested in life stories from WW2 and that sort of thing - I read a book by a lady called [email protected] Schloss called @fter @uschwitz. There's a good insight into life before the war and also what happened at liberation and afterwards.
As an aside her mother married Otto Frank and he became Eva's stepfather. Very interesting read.
