New week new thread time again!

Hope you all have a lovely one before the bank holiday weekend!

Feeling in a better mood this week than last, hormones have been all over the place recently.
Plus the boss is on annual leave for 2 weeks so it will be a bit more relaxed at work.

Going getting my hair cut at the weekend it's been needed to be done for ages now but I've been trying to let it grow a bit ready for December. Also planning on doing some dIY if I can get him fired up, might have a chance now the olympics have finished!

Good Morning Ladies, hope you are all well? Back in work with the typical Monday morning feeling, waiting to go into a telephone conference which I don't have a good feeling about so will be looking forward to going home and cuddling with the OH. We had a good weekend, celebrated the OH's birthday and explored the peak district. I do love a nice day out.

Went to some friends on Saturday night, it was their son's 18th party, yesterday I had to fight the urge to die!!! Feeling a little better today but not 100% still. Oh well!!!

Off to work this afternoon for a late shift, been out and done the shopping and had to pop into town quickly.

Emm - my SIL's husband does a similar job - works offshore to do with oil and he can be away from home a few months at a time. Having said that, when they got together he was working like that and I think it's something she is used to. My OH is away with work now until Thursday in Portugal and seems to be every week at the moment. I didn't mind it too much to start off with, but nowI hate it - the evenings are the worst.

So chuffed, boss has had the interview with the candidate I put forward to him, offered her the job there and then and she accepted.. she starts Monday!

Back to the grind for me today.... It was ok actually. Went quite fast.

Finally work have changed all my systems to reflect my new surname!! It's only taken them 3 weeks!

Sorry I've barely been on the past. I've had a crazy busy August so far. Whoever said August gets quiet and slows down lied!

Friday went with hubby to pub for dinner and drinks with my bestie and her bf. Saturday was gym class, supermarket for few bits, baked my dad's birthday cake and decorated it (took approx 6.5 hours! ), then cleaned bathrooms and did laundry. Was knackered so went for dinner in local Italian. Then yesterday was my dad's pre-birthday celebration, he loved his cake, we had a lovely family lunch.

Mushroom risotto sounds lush!! I eaten loads today so need to rein it I. This week.... Done my DVD tonight so I don't feel as guilty but hoping to continue it through the week.

Tired out now so off to bed in a mo xx

Had my sister on the phone earlier in tears- wondered what had happened- she attempted to dye her hair blonde

Bearing in mind she's got dyed darker her with red through she though she could just go blonde- her roots took the blonde but the rest went ginger!

Told her to go to hairdresser to sort but she said can't afford- said I woukd pay she said no

So I said buy colour remover which she's put in and it's sort of worked and taken all the colour out

Said for her to then dye it a light brown blonde- close to her natural colour- will have to see what it turns out like!

My dad rung me too to say that she had rung him in tears too and he was like what the hell do I know what to do- he said same as me to go to hair dresser and he woukd pay- fingers crossed it works!

This is the cake I made over the weekend for my dad.

I've marinated some chicken for meals later in the week.

2 chicken breasts in tandoori seasoning, then 2 chicken breasts diced and marinated to make chicken kebabs with onions and peppers. I got houmous and pita to go with the kebabs. Can just cook them under the grill. They'll taste amazing if they marinate for a few days.

Sister is leaving hair tonight - it's looks a sort of honey blonde at the mo- a bit ginger but she will just put it in A donut and dye tomoz night!

Wow good for you Mrs! I'm too lazy to walk to supermarket! Lol

I'm here! I got out of the habit of checking in when we went away, plus Jiseph wants a lot of attention when he's awake and doesn't nap much in the day. He's doing well in the evenings though, we settle him in a bed in the sitting room around seven and he's asleep within the hour, then stays asleep at least until we take him up to bed with us, and sometimes longer. No where near sleeping through yet though, so sleepy mummy

He's seen the health visitor today and is now 13 lb 10, which is almost a pound in a week. He had his second jabs today too poor love, not as bad this time, just one injection. I've got a session on weaning in a couple of weeks, it's going so fast. He's at a lovely stage, lots of smiling and laughing. We'll be joining a music class and a signing class in September.

I'm starting to watch what I eat a bit, and do some toning exercises as well as walking everyday. I can't wait to lose the weight. I still can't get my engagement and wedding rings back on. Eventually I might have to look at getting them resized.

I've tried the ginger biscuit first thing approach, makes me feel even worse so I stopped doing that. They do take the edge off later in the morning though :)

We've just booked 2 nights in Amsterdam for 2 of us flights and all inclusive hotel just over £600

Fab news about booking Amsterdam Michelle, you and hubby definitely deserve a break away from everything! You've reminded me that me and my hubby need to get booking a weekend away for my birthday, we're probably just going to Pembrokeshire with the dog though! Lol.

Getting hot hot hot now... meant to reach 28 degrees this afternoon.

Hope you are all well. Been busy in clinic today, home, then back to the unit to drop my stuff off, now home to stay. Awaiting some police officers to come round and speak to my youngest. There is a chap who has been approaching teenage girls and someone had approached my daughter recently and they need to see her to see if it's the same chap, scary.

Oh GF.... That's not good at all. I hope the catch the dirty scum bag!!
