Morning all. Slightly better nights sleep last night so I feel a bit more refreshed today. Still to much buzzing round my head to sleep fully. Can't wait to get home Friday. I know you shouldn't wish your life away but I'm really homesick really is unusual for me. If anything I think going home every weekend is making it worse. At least when I'm gone for months I can get stuck in but at the moment it seems like I'm always counting down to when I can get home. Busy day today so that should take my mind off of it for a bit.

InDreamland I work at sea on supply ships for the Royal Navy but I'm at college for the next nine months. I usually go to a ship for four months and, don't get me wrong, of course I miss OH when I'm gone for that long, but this away for five days, home for two is worse somehow. I think it's because usually I say goodbye and there's no point thinking about getting home because it's months away. I'm sure I'll get used to it.

I've always wanted to do jury duty. Never been called though.
My head of midwifery does not want two of us out so close to each other, plus one of the weeks I would be out is when it's going to be a struggle to cover as there is a lot of annual leave (half term). She did write to them but they said I had to contact them myself regarding it. I'm happy to do it, but my work cannot afford to have me out.

back at work and still feel terrible! I've phoned the docs in case its the bug I had a few months ago creeping back! so waiting for them to call me back I opted for a call from the doc instead of an app so will see what they say!
Pooch seems better today too thank goodness! woke up to a nice surprise this morning so had the bleach and mop out at 6am xx

You can delay jury service once with a valid reason but you have to do the second dates they offer. That's what happened with my boss. She had to be in the US for the week she was originally summoned, the second week was right near Christmas which was a pain but had to happen.

We weren't intending on having one at all, I was going to raid the freezer for something. Whilst walking the dogs we walked past the chinese down the road and it just smelt amazing, we both looked at each other and said "chinese?" haha. So that was that! Naughty but it was yummy. I do need to get back to my diet badly though!!!

Morning all, LO been taken to school by neighbour so she's not late,going to make a point to gutting kids room today I've asked and asked them to tidy it and they keep shoving it in wardrobe or under beds,grrrrr I've had enough now............ OH has rung moaning I'm no fun anymore,I'll let him try and get 3 kids ready to go to diff schools then tidy house find something for t that they all like and do all washing then he will see why I'm not laughing so much. It gets to you after a while. I need a night out,being stuck in same routine day in day out is boring. But he just doesn't get it........... Fgs told him we need time on our own away from house and kids at least once a month,time for just me and him................ Anyone else get like this?.. Or just me x

Morning All, Rubbish night last night, other carer mooching around in her room, floor boards in this place are horrendous, sent her a text told her to go to sleep this was just after 11pm, Then client started talking at 1am so had to go down to her, We have a baby monitor for whoever is on call. Then up again at 5.30am to assist client, then she has a nightmare at 7am, thank god it is my early finish and no on call tonight, Last night tonight cant wait to get home tomorrow night, so hard being away from the OH for 15 nights. Least we have 6 weeks together this time, Scotland week today, Then the weddings to look forward to, going to be a very busy 3 weeks! Think I am looking forward to it all being done so can spend quality time together.

Defo need time for you two to get away from the house and kids Pinky, you should try having a set night for a date night once a month. My H2B works away so when he's home we make the most of our time together, we don't have kids yet but will defo still make sure this happens when we do xx

Jenn, yep, the problem I have is that when I had it I told work, head of midwifery did not say anything to me until after I had sent off the form to say I'd do it as it had to be sent within 7 days, so when I went in, she said to me she was contesting it, I told her I had already sent it off, and I have had confirmation stuff through, but had to contact them myself after she wrote to them to say she could not have me out of work that fortnight.

PP, my youngest is like that, her room is a mess. She just shoves it all to the sides of the room. I've told her though today when she gets home she needs to do it or no 1D at the weekend.

Oh no, hope once they kick in you'll be right as rain again. Do you take multi vits? I take a multi vit with iron daily and omega 3, that seems to keep things getting too bad with me, the other day I did get some b3rroc@ with zinc to double dose me up. I told hubby to take that as well but he does not unless I do it for him. That's why when he gets a cold, he insists he has flu, even though it is just a cold.

I used to do that when I was younger. Would just shove everything under my bed and pretend that I'd tidied it hahah. My mum never really cared about my room though, she just let me get on with it.

I think if you take them regular it does, if I get a cold it's gone in a couple of days, if hubby gets one it lasts ages. His immune system is shot to bits, but he never listens to me and takes them. He's been told his cholestrol is slightly high as well, so I said if he takes an omega 3 as well that will help with that. But he's done nothing. He is heading towards type 2 diabetes though. He had a well man appointment at the drs once but never went as he was unwell at the time, I said to him that I can tell you exactly what they will say, you drink too much, you are over weight and you are at risk of type 2 diabetes. He went quiet as he knew it was true.

In November we have a do to go to, you either dress up all glam or fancy dress, this year it is James Bond theme, I am not a James Bond fan so have no idea. I need something to dress up as, not skimpy all in ones though.

I've got 3 girls in 1 room so it's all their cr@p together,I hate mess. I'm not ocd but it's just messy, And I hate it, they know when I get in there what ever is on the floor goes in the bin and stays in there. They don't have a lot of toys anyway only LO MLP stays on the floor but it's tidy, 12 yr old doesn't have toys just her make up and hair stuff, it's dirty washing that gets me as they've got a wash bin in therefor it. I don't do it so don't know why they do ! X

I'm with you on that too Pinky pie. OH always says you never look happy or you never want to do anything. He thinks it's easy being a full time mum/ housewife but it's not. I'd love to just sit down and watch tv all day with LO like he thinks I do but the house doesn't clean itself, washing and ironing doesn't get done by itself, LO doesn't entertain himself all day and meals don't just appear out of thin air.
We never go out just the two of us and we never get 'us' time. I've said we need to do more things together and his mum had e dn said she will look after LO too but we never do anything.
You're definately not on your own pp x
