Just grabbing a cuppa before going and drying my hair and putting some facepaint on. Sorted the bins out ready for the morning.

Lol Joanne I had never seen them before either- in t3sco they had a box of rainbow potatoes that had small new potatoes, ones with a red skin and then purple ones that were purple inside too- tasted really nice but my brain just can't cope with a purple potatoes- just odd! Lol

Yummy- be warned macro ons are not as easy as yiu think- I rushed mine first time and didn't work so well, sieve the icing sugar and almonds! Use a proper silicon mat Once piped, tap the baking sheet sharply on the work top to remove any air bubbles and to help the mixture settle. Leave to dry for 20-30 mins before cooking so surface becomes kind smooth and shiny.

Then half way through cooking open the door and waft a couple of times to let steam escape :-)

Morning all, I slept solid last night but I'm still tired this morning....

Got some customers over from Holland today so need to wake up and be alert lol

LO is going to C3ntre P@rcs with his Nanna tomorrow after school,til Sunday so got a couple of lie ins to come.

OH has got man flu so I'm hoping he rests on Saturday night and doesn't go working on the railway in the cold! He needs to let his body recover.

My car is going to the garage tomorrow to hail the oil pressure switch sorted. Just hope it's not caused further, more expensive damage x

Didn't get a chance to get back in yesterday was in bed again for 9pm too, slept all night which was fab and when my alarm when at half 5 I didn't want to get up!

Having a fight with two almost three year old a to eat breakfast only had about half and I like them to eat a good breakfast im the morning so will just take stuff with us to playgroup!

My weekend starts at 5pm as I have Friday's off can't believe how fast this week has gone so far, off to meet the florist tomorrow too so I'm looking forward to that xx

I an loving it Emma can't get over how fast my days are going the kids love the playgroup we go to aswell and I've met about 10 other childminders so keeps me socialising too lol what was it you did Emma? Remember you saying before but completely forgotten xx

Morning ladies, feel horrendous this morning. Another shocking nights sleep and this cold has gone up another level.Feel sooo tired, am so bunged up and my eyes are stinging and all watery. Could do with a duvet day today but got my colleague coming from London today so I can sit with her and review a couple of tenders we've got going in tomorrow. I had a little review of what she'd done last night and I can see she has missed a massive chunk... so no chance of an easy day for me today!!!

Going to stop off at t3sc0 on my way to the train station and raid the drugs shelves.

Morning ladies, took yesterday off work and it was a lovely day so me and OH went on an 11 mile walk! Feet are killing me today but it was fun :) So many emails to catch up on today though so kind of wish I hadn't taken the day off, been logged on since before 7 and still haven't cleared them all!

Going into town to see our new offices later. I don't really want to go. I have so much work to do that could do without it.

My maternity cover post has just been advertised externally. It had looked like it had been filled internally, and my boss was filling me in on what had happened. It turns out that one of my colleagues, another library assistant who is only contracted to 12 hours a week, although in reality does a bit more at the moment as the budget allows it, had applied to be my cover. It would have given her a much more stable contract of 30 hours for the year, and would have been fantastic for us as she wouldn't require training and the handover would be easy, she knows most of the things I do already. She was the only internal applicant and was interviewed successfully, but then got offered an academic job for three months, which is a brilliant opportunity for her. The college have agreed that we can employ a casual person to cover her role for those three months so that she can come back, as she is too good to lose. It does mean though that she can't now cover my role, as it would be too long without that post at all, and three months full-time is a bit difficult to recruit to. My boss has been told she can make my cover full-time for the year to allow for extra cover over a major project, although I won't have to come back full-time (unless I want to). I'm actually really glad it's gone external, as much as it would have been easier for everyone for my colleague to step in, and her hours could potentially have been covered within the team, it's a great opportunity for someone unemployed to get something on their CV. So if anyone fancies being a library assistant in Cardiff for a year ...
