Yes you really don't know what you would do in a life threatening situation until you're in one. I've never been in anything in the same league as what people in Paris experienced, but I did get mugged at knifepoint once when I was a student. I always imagined that if that happened I would run away in a panic, but when they approached and held the knife up demanding my phone I was actually surprisingly calm. For one second I thought I was about to die, then rational thought kicked in and I knew if I did everything right I would be ok. I couldn't have run if I'd wanted to anyway, there was absolutely nothing in my legs. I handed over the phone, as I remembered something I'd read about letting things go in that situation. Then they demanded my purse, which I had to get out of my backpack, and as it took me a while they were threatening to kill me with the knife. Again you'd expect that I'd panic, and I was getting anxious when they were getting angry, but I was only really worried that they wouldn't be satisfied with the amount of money in it and would want more. Once they took the purse they knew I think that there would be nothing more for them to take, so they basically told me to get lost. I think instincts kick in a lot when you're in a life-threatening situation, as we all have the fight or flight response. If neither of those is an option, then I suppose playing dead as about all you have left open to you.

Just got back from a really long walk with LO. He fell asleep within 10 mins.

Flour all cleaned up too. Took forever.

We had takeout last night, might chuck some new spuds in a pan with some mange tout.

I just want easy, hate cooking following nights.

We had fish last night that h2b caught it was lovely, now I've stopped being sick For a few hours in peckish hopefully when I eat it stays there! Not sure when we will eat tonight as h2b is still at work in meetings xx

Been a busy day today, usual Monday morning helping my clients bed change, Took client out to shops and got something in for lunch. then after lunch took client to new church that not long opened up, other carer constantly moaning about breaks, we get our breaks but if there is a slight change then she moans. Roll on Wednesday cant be doing with it all now, Time to go home! 48 hours be on that plane waiting to take off! lol x

At least they've seen the light Sarah but I'm sure it doesn't make you feel much better that the accusations were about in the first time.

One of my suppliers have rang me today ahead of my interview tomorrow wishing me luck then came out with, "based on the work you've done with us and the effort you've put in we're going to offer a £2.50 rebate on every service if a group of your locations service more than 25 cars and a rebate of £5 if they service more than 50 so I did some maths and for some locations they'd be saving £1000 a month!! I worked out a vague total including some of my smaller locations so did 10 of my 21 locations and worked out a saving of approximately £27000 a year for just them 10 ... If that isn't justification on keeping my role I don't know what is. They basically told me I can tell them I negotiated the deal however I like but I'm just going to tell them the truth as it one of our suppliers are prepared to pass on that kind of cost saving just because of the rapport we have built then I can do it with others!

Not looking forward to another stupidly early train in the morning but nevermind
