Morning ladies. Feeling crap this morning. Hormonal I think. Just want to hide away, but I know that will make me feel worse. My youngest asked last night if we could phone grandad to see if we can go there next weekend. I told her he's on holiday. She still doesn't know what he's done or even that she'll never be seeing him again. I'm going to have to cone up with something soon because I can't keep saying he's on holiday! Argh!!!!

MrsBU2B, she's 12 and autistic. I won't go into detail, but basically he's just been put on the sex offenders register for child sex offences. So I don't think she would be able to cope with that. I just need to come up with something to tell her that makes it as final as I can (if that makes sense?!) x

Susan its so hard to know what to say to her. Can you maybe say that he has done some bad things and so we wont be able to see him again. With some autistic children that will be enough with others it just begs the question what why. Not sure how your LO would react to that so sorry if not suitable.

Sarah, that makes more sense haha, Such a shame though! Lovely idea about the scrap book. Maybe their parents can recommend you to someone needing childcare?

Woke up feeling so much worse. Had to sit down the entire time at cubs last night as felt weak. My cough is horrible this morning. Another day of tablets and fluids I think today!

Oh also the colleague they've been trying to get out of the business was told yesterday that she needs to go. She's got until today to accept or decline their offer which I think is more than generous - they have offered her £7.5k to leave!!! She will of course get taxed on that but it's such a lot of money, thought she would get a couple of months' wages at the most. The cheeky mare wanted £10k as well. Fingers crossed she just accepts and we can all move on (and I can have my pay rise!!!!).

Yeah she will still be gone, I guess it would just probably go through court then... Wouldn't surprise me if she held out for more but if I was her I would definitely be taking the £7.5k! Just can't believe the reason they wouldn't pay her off ages ago is because they didn't want her to have any more money than she deserves, now she's been "off sick" for the past month getting paid to do absolutely nothing and now she's also gonna get that much money... whilst I've been working hard and doing everything that's been asked of me and I get a £500 bonus lol. I shouldn't complain, but it takes the p1ss!!!

Not heard back from them yet, I presume they've gone back to the landlady to see what she says.

MrsB - without going into too much detail it's basically just got very messy and it's not been so easy to just get rid of her. Part of me wouldn't be surprised if she turned down the pay out and took it to court.

OH has just won a 2 day wet shaving course or clipper masterclass at the academy where he originally did his barbering course. The clipper masterclass is normally £350 and the wet shaving course £399 - fab!

Thanks ladies, I think the idea of him having moved away might be the best idea for now. I'll maybe tell her that he hasn't got a phone sorted out yet. I suppose it's worth a try!

Flossie, brill news on the bonus and on the colleague situation. Hopefully now they can see all the work you do without having the stress of her hanging over them - then maybe you'll get your deserved payrise :) x

My boss is in Scotland with the Director next week for the Board meeting so he will be having a discussion with him then about my pay.. fingers crossed.

He is enjoying the freedom more than anything but it's still quite quiet on the customer front at the moment. They had to close the shop he was asked to manage as the owner of the property started trying to get involved in the business, so they told him to do one basically!!! He's now back in the gym barbers but there is only 1 chair in there at the moment, so he and the guy he's working with are splitting the shifts. James is doing 7-1 and Andre 1-8. Andre has been given permission from the gym though to use a different area which will allow him to put 2 chairs in and they can then work simultaneously :)

Regarding what to tell your daughter Susan, I would go for something a bit more "final". Telling her he hasn't got a phone sorted out yet kind of keeps it open and doesn't really put it to bed. It might be hard but I think you need to tell her in some way that he has gone away and isn't coming back. *hugs* xx

I think you're right Flossie. I keep putting it off and I'm not sure if it's more to do with trying to protect her or more because I'm still not prepared for it all to be final, even though I know it is. I suppose it's a kind of grief process. xx

Hopefully business will pick up once they have 2 chairs. xx

I need to finish the bows for pew ends, finish table plan and some other stuff I'm gonna allocate to others! I need to get the house in order too. We have our rehearsal on Thursday and I'm getting tan done whilst OH collects suits. Need to sort out money into envelopes too of who needs paid etc

He's still working. He finishes up tomorrow. I'd rather do the money myself to make sure it's right but yea he could help with house!! Just need to get washing etc done. Yes just viral thank you but i feel rotten

Finally some good news! OH has just text to say he's getting a bonus of £1000! That's a huge amount towards the wedding. x
