Morning all

We went out for tea and had a good night. Had a rough night though as been up all night going to the toilet (sorry TMI) feel like cr@p

OH doesn't feel great but he's just left for work. LO has just woke up and all I feel like doing is curling up in a ball all day

Mrs MW, get the duvet, put a film on and curl up with LO on the sofa.

Struggling to get up again this morning. Had snow here overnight, not much but enough to dust the road and pavement, will be freezing cold and slippery outside.

Thanks ladies. Just sorted the kitchen out as it was a tip and put the rubbish out ready for the bin to go out for tomorrow.

Sat on settee now with a green tea but it's apple and black currant flavour whilst LO eats his breakfast.

Going to have a shower soon to wake myself up. Need to do the food shop today but will see how I go.

The blokes who was mending our front gates is meant to be coming back today. He came on Saturday morning and said he was going home because his hands were cold so they're still not working

Morning ladies - instead of having a nice long weekend off I've had a sh1tty one!!! Car passed its MOT on Thursday and got through the service with only very minor things flagged up so I thought great!! Drove round all day Friday completely fine until I was going round a roundabout on the way home and my power steering cut out for a couple of secs but then returned to normal. Drove to college Fri night to go dancing completely fine, parked up and there was a whirring/buzzing/humming noise coming from the engine even when I'd turned it off - when I went to leave and go home, the battery had been drained and I couldn't start it. Everyone else had already left so I caught the guy who works at the college before he went home and he had a battery pack so he helped me get started again. Drove round for 30 mins to charge the battery back up completely fine, then when I went to turn into our drive way the power steering went again!!!!

So p1ss3d this happened the day after the service/MOT and without any warning whatsoever - I have no warning lights on or anything. I'm taking it back into the garage at lunchtime so they can have a look but it sounds like my power steering pump has gone - seems it didn't shut off on Fri night which is why it drained my battery. If it is the pump it's going to cost hundreds to replace and it could have even damaged the steering column in which case I would just have to cut my losses, sell the car and get a new one. Nervous about driving it to the garage as I have no idea if it will even start or if I even have any power steering at all now.

Uhhhhhhh!!!!! Why is there always something?!

Morning ladies, had a lovely weekend, went to my parents on Saturday with Milo and went for a 2 hour walk along the beach, we were all shattered when we got back! Then OH and I went out for a 3 course meal last night which was yummy!

What a nightmare Flossie! Fingers crossed it is something that can be easily fixed and won't cost you too much! Could somebody follow you to the garage just in case you have any problems? xx

Morning all. Not been on all weekend.. It's been a weird one.

Sunday, woke up early and took OH to work. Got home and cleaned the kitchen, showered and just pottered round till 10 then went to my aunts. Spent a lovely few hours sewing and spending time together. Realised she is using her sewing machine completely wrong so I need to go and show her how to use it! Picked OH up from work and rushed to Solihull to practise swimming with the cubs. Went well. We have a really good team this year. Then it all got interesting. Went to his parents house for his sisters 21st. They didn't say hello to me when I got in. I just sat in the corner and didn't move for the 2 hours we were there. I even cried at one point.. OH was pissed off at how they treat them differently. SIL had a £600 holiday given to her, professional cake made, their aunt bought down from Cumbria and a party thrown for her. For OHs 21st his parents got him a gr0up0n driving experience and that was all the effort they put into his. Both felt a bit pooey about it all. After we made the effort to call them and we thought that everyone had agreed to move on they don't make any effort to speak to us or anything. Not sure what else we can do.. I felt physically sick sitting there. I used to call that place my home and last night I felt like I was intruding being there as a guest. Ungrateful SIL didn't even say thank you for her presents...

I spoke to his aunt as I left and we're taking her out for dinner tonight before she goes home. Haven't seen her since Christmas 2014 so will be nice.

Oh no Flossie hope it's not too expensive and can get it sorted. Fingers crossed x

Morning all! OH and I have decided to book santorini :-) also decided to go to Devon for a few nights so just packing up now- I love making spur of the moment decisions-:-)

Mrs hope you feel better- sounds like maybe some dodgy food?

Flossie- hope car can be fixed and not a fortune

Emily- I think now as you have made the effort and been treated like that, just ignore them, if they want to be vile, let them, you are out of there, you have tried so hard, if you see them say hello but don't let them get you down, you've done nothing wrong and they need to realise this. Or better still play them at their own game, instead of just sitting there be extra nice and act like nothing is wrong, asking lots of questions about what they've been up to- they sound like nasty ppl that thrive on making people upset so if you can show that you're not bothered then it will get to them! Hard to do but just got to be bold and confident xx

Where's Santorini? I've not heard of it before.

Yeah I know what you mean It was just so hart. I was so emotional being there. When I saw the dog I started crying. I think it was because he was so ill a few weeks ago and I hadn't seen him then or since. he was ill enough for MIL to call OH and tell him to go home as vets had told them to expect the worst. I'll leave it now. I don't know what more I can do. We won't be having a house warming so they wont be invited over for that or anything. so just wait and see.

Just checked mobile and saw a missed call. G00gled number only to find it's a call centre PPI thing!!!! Does anybody know who has won?!

I think you should just leave OHs parents Emily and not waste any more time or emotion on it. If they treat their two kids differently as well it kind of says it all. You made the effort and were the bigger person for going yesterday - it's their problem, not yours. Sounds awful though and I probably would have got up and walked out!

Michelle so glad they got on. Little steps but hopefully things will be easier going forward. Any mention of the suit fitting or was it a case of lets not upset the apple cart?

What a pain Flossie. At least you're prepared for the worst case scenario. It's probably best not to make a decision immediately if it is the worst case scenario. Take the time to see what will work out cheapest, repair or replacement.

That's so sad GF- I don't know what is wrong with kids nowadays- thinking it acceptable to fight each other!

So nice when commute is quiet during school holidays, , commute in is nice for me but on way home is a nightmare with all the day trippers dilly dallying and holding us up on the tubes.

This evening seems to have whizzed by so quickly.

Evening ladies,... Been a crazy manic day today so not had chance to get on much.

I have done my shred DVD though so now to get LO to bed, bath and bed for me too xx

Slept solid through last night. It's blooming cold this morning and I'm so glad I covered my car windscreen last night. It will save so much hassle when it's time to go!!

Gonna leave the heating on today and keep the house warm. Stroll on Spring/summer
