Today is whizzing by, this whole week has gone really quickly! I've had lots to do at work though so been keeping myself occupied.
Need to go to the post box down the road in a bit and gonna swing by S@1nsburys too I reckon and get some petroleum. Then back to the office and have my left over chilli from last night for my lunch yum yum yum.
Just seen M@ry Pops is on at the Bristol hippodrome around my birthday so told my mum I may want to go see it for my birthday...

It does sound very stressful, Im lucky I have little stress here and I like it that way, im never here late and never in early, just how I like it as im salaried I don't get paid for OT, when I finish for the day Im finished, I don't take work issues home xx

Afternoon all OH finished work at 12. I fetched LO from nursery at 12.30 while OH had his dinner then we picked fil up and took him and LO to have a haircut. LO looks so grown up now. He moaned a bit having it done but it had to be done as it's too long.
OH and LO just had a bath and now were all sat on the settee :)

Afternoon all had a quiet night at work here's hoping for another quiet one tonight then off until Monday night. Tired today though. Just enjoying some me time before picking up LO. Said to OH I had nothing in for dinner. He said not to bother cooking and left money for me and LO to get Chinese and he will get something later. Naughty but I'm too tired to cook. Going to SW to get weighed before getting LO.

I definitely wouldn't be doing that IDL! I expect now you've made it a habit they just expect it from you? Can they not give you the time back in lieu?
Due to the nature of my job and having to work to strict deadlines, sometimes I do need to work beyond my contracted and salaried hours but my boss is really fair and always gives the time back in lieu. I don't mind going above and beyond as long as it is recognised and awarded appropriately. I definitely wouldn't be doing it for no gain!!!

Anyone who does over full time hours at work gets it in time owing, they won't pay you as it means that they have to pay extra.

Just gone back in from getting kids from school and going to my aunties,was lovely to see her and my uncle Brian too. Made an appt today too to look at wedding dresses with my mum and sister next week,sooo excited seen soooo many I love can't wait to try them,did any of you say I'll never wear that dress then try it and like it,seen a dress today with ruffles which I said I disliked and in person it's really pretty???? Same here! I knew I didn't want a princess style dress but I couldn't go dress shopping and not try one on haha, the little girl inside me HAD to try it on! It was horrendous on me though, was a definite big no no!

Defo going to try it on it really beautiful on the peg,it's a bit over budget but I could pay weekly/ monthly so that helps me out loads. All I've looked at and liked have been ball gown type. But like you all said go in with open mind..... Even my brother who was there said try it I might love it.

Stressful day!!!! Frantically trying to get hold of my sister who's in Chile, not easy to do while working. Finally heard from her though and she's safe (earthquake/Tsunami last night 8.3 and 8 reported dead, I panicked as she wasn't responding).
Not been on here much as work is hectic, and hubby's dad just diagnosed with dementia, so feeling a bit drained. Hopefully things might calm down soon. How's everyone else?

Hiya Leasa, sorry to hear about hubby's dad. hope you are keeping well though.
I am so physically and mentally exhausted today. I got a call at 745pm asking if there is any chance I could pop into work until midnight as it was crazy, for them to say that I knew it would be, so being a good egg that I am I went in, and boy yep it was mad!!! I left at just after midnight hoping by this time it would have calmed down. One of the midwives came down to the ward to tell me something before going home, I was busy with a woman at the time, but she walked past a room and a woman sounded a tad uncomfortable, ended up she progressed quickly and delivered there and then. She never told me what it was as she forgot and meant she left even later (about 11pm and she had been there since 7am). Another midwife on a late shift did not leave until about 1115pm as she had so much to catch up on. I crawled into bed as soon as I got in so I have had about 5 hours sleep and that was broken.
