Evening all I've had such a lovely day.
Got to the spa and we had facials and hot stone back massages. Then went in to all the steam rooms and saunas and hydro therapy pool. Had shower etc then mil had booked us in for lunch at a posh restaurant. Fil and O.h were picking car up when they fetched us. Had 3 course meal, a cocktail and 2 bottles of wine between us....lovely.
We picked LO up from nursery and he was fast asleep bless him. Santa and Olaf have been to nursery today.
He's still sleepy bless hi

It is GF, but this is the longest he gets to spend with his family all year, so I understand. I did go up with him last year, but felt I should stay with my family this year. I'm going up on the 27th so will be there for his birthday on the 30th!
Thought it would be great to have control of the remote, but I'm so bored!!!

Just got to the hotel after a busyish day but that's 3 of 4 done only one more to survive this week!!
The 4.5 hour train journey seemed to really drag this morning but got to Aberdeen station 20 mins late put the ticket in the barrier to get off the station and was stood waiting to get it back and it didn't come back so I said the the station staff excuse me its eaten my ticket and I need it to claim back my expenses and they just shrugged at me.
Went to te information desk and explained t them and they said to just go to the gates and ask them to unlock the machines to get the ticket back as thats what they're meant to do if someone needs it.
I went back and said I'd spoken to info and they said that you can unlock them to et it back and I showed them the gate I used and the first thing she said was, 'well they can bloody come and do it themselves!!' And I said look I just need my ticket back to claim my expenses to which se popped up are you aware how many tickets will be in there and I said I inly came through 2 minutes ago and she back answered with yeah they don't fall in order it could be anywhere so I said I need it back regardless as there's no sign saying it isn't returned and I can't claim my money back without it and she said tough it's way too busy for us to get it back now the ticket isn't your property and I said that in England the machines don't take it and there was no sign so how was I to know I wouldn't get it back and the pair of them continued to be so unhelpful! They had customer service vests on - absolute disgrace to call them customer service reps! It's not that they couldn't get my ticket it was that they wouldn't get my ticket!! I explained I needed the ticket because my company need proof of travel not purchase and they still refused. Horrible individuals got their names (pat and david) and told them I was putting in a complaint about them. Rang their company and they were hardly useful either. Said if the station staff wouldnt give the ticket back there's nothing they could do and I said why should I be out of pocket because of your unhelpful staff and they repeated there's nothing we can do!!! Grrrrr. Rang the train provider in the hope they'd help but no they referred me back to the first company so called them back and said it was unacceptable and they changed their story again that the station staff weren't allowed to open the machines for security reasons. At this point I said id had enough of the excuses because it was clear it was wouldn't rather than couldn't as the security matter hadn't been raised until I had escalated it four times.
Now left with a train fare my company won't pay .. Not happy! Will be sending them a written complaint! They said they'd logged the complaint about the two staff but their resolution is totally unacceptable too.
Arghhhh and breath.

I Woukd says things like multifaceted where you might have disciplinary, grievance, sickness or performance Def in our trust strong challenging and damn right annoying Union interaction lol
4) examples of where you have had input to the redesign of services explaining you role and contribution within this process
Eg review of jd/ps Negotiations with staff side/partnership working Supporting development of consultation documentation 1:1s, slotting in, redeployment process Coaching/mentoring

Lindsey I would also look at key strengths and what would you Bring to the role, development areas, and lim at va,he based questions, does the Nhs trust have trust values, what are they and think about what each one means to you! We have 6 values and normally pick 2 and ask candidates what they mean to them!

I hate people who call themselves or have the title customer service rep when actually they are the complete opposite.
Ah well I've sent a written complaint to both companies now with their names plastered all over the complaints .. They're 5 a4 pages long .. Enjoy both ;)
Told them that I feel a suitable resolution is to take my fare out their wages and refund me ... Pigs may fly!

Ahh we can do alcohol but only one drink a night with our meal.
We use a stupid system. Log our expenses, make a report. Send report to expense department which takes a week. Then they take a week just to upload the receipts. Then a week for it to be audited then our manager has to authorise it. Then as long as that's done by Friday it's paid the following Friday so 5 weeks to get any money back ... I'm owed a fortune

Ours is online, so we add it all in and scan and upload receipts, then goes to manager to authorise and change and then if it makes payroll cutoff yiu get it in the next months pay- mine were signed off end of Nov so will get in Dec pay- gone are the days of petty cash! Was a much dimples method- receipt shown cash in hand!

Hi all. Had a crap day. My dad not well so worried about him. Then the van OH was supposed to buy tomorrow has fallen through. So now we are faced with should we fix his in meantime But it's throwing good money at an unsure thing. Or look for something else but not much else out there in our price range and he needs on the road asap

Yeah I woukd def recommend to your new manager this, especially if yiu are not getting it back in a timely manner- yiu may have to say sorry you can't do and go places as have no credit card, especially with your wedding! They will soon sort you out!

That was my thoughts Michelle :) this new manager sounds like he'll get stuff done. He also says he doesn't want us having to train staff on locations becaide we're too good for that and that he wants to develop us and us training others isn't going to do that. My job is much more technical now as I had to argue the toss with dealers on warranty repairs so I need a good technical knowledge on what is likely to be caused by muppets driving them and what can just go wrong and I also need to authorise repair costs so I need a better knowledge on cost. Out of the three of us I probably have a better understanding so looking forward to it :) we're basically going to be service and mechanical specialists with a bit of engineer work in by the sounds of it then I have a fantastic mechanical engineer who I already work closely with that looks after all the body damaged vehicles so I get to work a lot more closely with them. Our engineers are all older guys so whether they're trying to train us up so that when our amazing engineers decide to grab life by the horns we can step up I'm not sure. Looking forward to the changes though. I get to set up loads of meetings with dealers too so it's more like an account manager role in that respect.. Definitely a higher calibre role and I won have to answer to the regional director who is a pain in the ass as much!

Wow Becci that's disgraceful. Not only unhelpful but really unprofessional. Surely they should realise that some people need to retain their travel ticket and could warn you accordingly. Every station is different so how are you to know? Surely they could at least have given you something to show that you had travelled.

Good luck Emily, I hope they sort out permanent arrangements soon. I remember having to pick up work for someone on long term sick and being close to tears after a while as it was too much. Fortunately I had an appraisal so it was the ideal opportunity to raise it.
