Fingers crossed Michelle..... It really does sound like jealousy.

Well the ironing lady picked a basket of clothes up at 6, all were ironed and back with me by 7 and she charged me £4!!!!

Bloody marvellous.

To be honest, there wasn't as much as I thought but still a basket full, just. I might ask her again on Monday after the weekends wash loads..... A max she's gonna charge me is £10 and til my electrics/iron is sorted it's worth every penny

Now to sort the underwear and tidy the kitchen

Got some more parcels delivered today but one of them has part the order missing, will see if it turns up, if not I will pop to the store in town and see if they have it there by showing my order along with what came as its not on the order form that came.

Also the giant Olaf came, took it straight upstairs, only to go up just now and notice it's written all over the box what it is,

Day 2 of 4. Complete. Horrid drive on the m1 southbound this morning. Should be 3 hours and meeting started at 10 so I left at 6 got stuck at j30 for almost an hour due to a lorry fire then the traffic had just to say cleared from that when the gantry said j20-18 1 hour delays. I was glad to be out the car but was an hour late. My bosses understood luckily but my neck and back are sore now!

Watched corrie now time for a shower and pack my overnight bag for Aberdeen then watch prey then bed.

Our new boss seems really nice and has some good ideas but was sad saying bye to our old boss for the last time today just about managed to hold off the tears so I don't think anyone noticed,

GF I'm keeping my fingers crossed that a friend of mine will be on duty when I give birth. Currently she's on the consultant led unit and I'm due to be on the MLU, but she did say she might have moved over by April. It would be nice to have a familiar face doing the delivery.

Here on th iow, we only have th one unit, both clc and MLC give birth in the same place, two options here, home or hospital. We have no birthing centres. There is an old hospital though that has been left to go to wrack and ruin, that would be an ace place to have a birthing centre.

Would your friend not take you on as her case load EC? Then it doesn't matter what area she's in, providing shes not already on shift. A few of our girls have been case loading friends and family. One girl delivered her sister last week, she just had to put it in as an extra shift.

I know GF I was going to email them but decided to leave it in the end. No harm done as I answered the door. x

When we started our training we were told not to get involved with people you know, here it is such a small place you're going to come across people you do know all the time.

I did deliver my friend when training, I used to babysit her when she was little, it was lovely delivering her. I'd love to get back to caseloading again, not had the opportunity recently though.

Just been speaking to dad- he was like my bed looks like a post office with all my parcels do he hopes there is nothing else to come lol- was slap like I don't think I've bought enough presents for you and dis so will go shopping tomorrow! I was like dad you've given us money already and we don't need or want want so just a little wrap up is fine- to me spending time and giving is more important than receiving - mad dad!

I'm gettjng an early morning train Michelle as the vibrations of the plane are sore and it's not that much of a time benefit as LBA is my closest airport that flies to ABZ and that's an hour and a half drive then to be on the safe side I like to be there an hour before then an hours flight so that's 3.5 hours and the trains 4.5 but less stressful and the bus is quick and easy to the airport .. If my back was better if probably fly but flights are more expensive too. I only paid £98 return for the train

My mum delivered my sisters twins and she also delivered my LO. It was nice and not at all strange. I wouldn't have wanted another midwife.... I wanted my mum xx

Thank you Michelle :) my colleagues were saying that it's snowing in Inverness so I wasn't sure what to expect!!

I have my big branded jacket which looks like it belongs in the formular one pit lane but it's a 3 in 1 with a fleece as well as a reflective rain proof coat which keeps the wind out nicely ... Got my Xmas jumper for Friday too .. Not sure if the location will be participating but got it just in case!

Oh has just come through saying omg I think the help of h3nry is required so I asked what he'd done and he said nothing but there was a huge spider on the ceiling in the kitchen .. Glad he found it not me!

Been to @sd@ today and got OH and I drinks in to have over Xmas although prob a waste of time as I'll be spending Most of my time at work! Also got a load of junk food. Regretting it already lol. Just catching up on soaps. Can't wait to get to bed I'm so tired. OH is going to the cinema with his brother to watch the midnight showing of Star Wars, I could never stay awake in the cinema at that time lol

Aw Emmi lou that is really lovely :)

They've never told us not to get involved but they do say always seek supervision and you have to write to the head of midwifery to ask her permission. We must always get paid for it aswell, so has to go down as a bank shift if you aren't already on shift. There is that element if something were to go wrong would they blame you I guess but for the most part I think it's a really nice thing to do.

Thats a shame the van has taken a while Danielle. Hopefully it will be ready soon. x

Got my spa day tomorrow. First time since LO been born that I've not seen him all day but we will both be having fun days as he's got his nursery Xmas party with lots of food so he will love it bless him

I think I will get one of my friends to caseload me if we ever have another. I think it would make it a nice experience. Though I've still not decided if I am having a planned section as I had an emergency one last time. Part of me wants to try again for natural but part of me is scared, think I am over thinking everything. Would you go for a vbac GF?
