Couldn't get to sleep last night.... Sooo hot!

Monday again.... My boss is back today which I'll be honest, I'm not looking forward to!

Got a couple of meetings today so it should go quick!

Joseph has slept really well last night and this morning after a few unsettled nights. He was absolutely exhausted, as was I so I was glad of the sleep. He still woke at 4:00 for his feed, but went back to sleep afterwards and had quite a few naps after that. He's been in a nice mood, but that won't last as the poor love has his jabs this afternoon. I'm not looking forward to that.

Afternoon. Decided I'm not going to cubs tonight. Head has been getting worse and ears painful today and affecting my balance so a walk through the woods isn't the best idea.

Hi everyone, busy day today again, making the day go so quickly which is not a bad thing. Getting a new phone today - looking forward to getting home and having a play! Although courier companies don't half annoy me sometimes... this morning I'd logged onto their website to update my delivery preferences, I stated that if no one is in can they please leave the parcel with number 11, and if she wasn't in to leave it in our side cupboard. They've done neither - had a text to say they've left the parcel with number 15, however, they've provided a pic of number 15 and it's not our next door neighbour, looks like number 15 in the street up from ours... very bizarre!!!! Have asked hubby to investigate when he gets home.

I can't believe what an amazing day I had yesterday, feeling on a high despite my headache.

I booked OHs birthday present yesterday. A 2 night trip to Amsterdam :)
His birthday last year was so rubbish that I wanted to make this year special. So excited. I have booked a boutique apartment overlooking the canal! Cant wait!!

Hope you are all good. Housey duties here today, start night duty tomorrow so need everything done.

Having a mare at the school at the moment, my daughter a few weeks ago tapped a boy on th face as he was getting into her personal space and touching her, because she struck another student she was excluded for a day. Anyhoo, last week, my son got kicked in the head twice by another pupil whilst he was on th ground, two teachers were there at the time, nothing was done. I've written to the head, cc'd the governors into it and told them I've had enough, quoted their values to them which they are not living up to and told them I shall take this to the department of education and ofsted if not sorted. Last contact I had was Thursday and the head said they'd look into it and investigate more. Personally I think they've had enough time, I emailed them that today as well, funnily I've not had a reply! Kindly put it that how can one student get excluded for a day for tapping a boy for trying to touch her, yet cannot deal with someone who has kicked another pupil in the head!

I've been told to go to Edam if going to Amsterdam as well. My friend went for a wedding there and she said it was lovely.

Did think of you yesterday IDL when watching the GP.

Hubby has got home, I've had no "sorry we missed you" card through the door so I'm presuming that's gone to number 14 in the wrong street as well as my phone being with number 15 in the wrong street. Super...... Neither no 14 or 15 are in at the moment. Making me nervous!!!

IDL, yes it is, I've taken a school to the cleaners before, I can do it again if need be.

It's got a bit silly up there at the moment, detentions for silly things. I'm all for rules and that but they are getting silly.

I feel for you GF - it must be so hard when things like that happen to your children and you have to fight to get the right justice for them x

My son got a detention for flipping a bottle, a friend's son got one as he refused to go into the girls toilets to retrieve a small ball he'd kicked in there, (there were girls there at the time), and whilst that boy was doing the detention he asked a girl younger than him why she was there. She'd sat in the wrong chair!!!

That school needs looking into asap and their detention policies reviewed majorly!!

It's the toilet one that gets me... how on earth can you encourage a boy to go into the girls toilets???

GF that's appalling. I would definitely be going over their heads by now. My middle school gave misdemeanours which were slips of paper, with a note in the homework diary which the parents had to sign every week. Detentions were normally only given if you got three misdemeanours in one week. Being kept in over break time was different, but that was generally an instant thing. I'd imagine you could get instant detentions but it would have to be pretty bad. There was only ever one exclusion in the three years I was there, I week long suspension for violence.

See how he goes Ec with this lot, if he suffers, on the next lot give him call ol for 24 hours prior them, that way it's in his system already working. Glad he's doing great.

Joseph's weight is doing better, he's back above the 9th percentile line. His head circumference on the other hand is on the 98th percentile (thank goodness he was a c-section). His length is round about there too. Both doctor and health visitor are happy with him. Now we just need enough fat on his middle that the trousers we have don't fall down.

Evening.

So bored and tired today. Kids came home from school, all went out again. I sat watching television, cooked dinner, ate, washed up, hubby came back, ate his, then had to go back out to price a job up. One child left in and she's in her room, I just swept up the garden and made it look a little more respectable,

Danielle it was the biggest scream I've heard him do. It was the kind where you get one short scream, then the face is red and the mouth wide open but no sound comes out. When it does you know it will be loud. It was the look on his face that got me, looking at me as if to ask why I'd let that happen. I didn't cry but I was shaking afterwards.
