This is mine. They don't match up because of the design of the engagement ring. The wedding ring was adapted from my great-grandmother's, and as it had to be totally redesigned anyway (it had been made into a man's signet ring), the jeweller gave me the option of having it designed to fit around my engagement ring. I said no, as there may be times when I only wear the wedding ring (like working with food where hygiene rules mean the engagement ring has to be put away), or if the engagement ring needs something doing to it. The wedding ring on its own would have looked odd if I'd had it curved round.

Just ordered two sample rings from a ring place in Brighton, so feeling much more positive as their prices are reasonable and I know I have somewhere local now where I can go to get a bespoke ring if needs be to fit my engagement ring. They're a national company too with great reviews. Fingers-crossed - excuse the pun.
