    Hey there,

Just wanted some opinions on this!! I don't know whether to have little bouquets of flowers or not for my two flowergirls.
I was going to make up little baskets for them to carry instead, with bubbles for them up put in and hand out to guests after the church. Met with my florist on Saturday and never even thought about whether to get them a small bouquet of flowers!! However if they have the baskets they wouldn't necessarily need flowers too? It would save them carrying both?

    Any thoughts/ideas?
I am also thinking it would save money if they didnt have bouquets as well!
They will be wearing little flower circlets so maybe a bouquet would also be too much?!

I've been thinking the same but my flower girl is intent on throwing the petals (tells everyone who asks her - bless!) so I think I might just fill her basket with flower petals.

I would say if she has the basket then she wouldn't need the flowers too, it probably would be too much x

im getting flowers for my flowergirl, and a basket, but im going to have her little posie put on her chair, so once she has gone down the asile and scattered petals she can leave the basket at front and walk back up aisle with her posie.

That's a really good idea Whovian! My FG will only be 3 and a half and we are not sure if she will carry anything or scatter the petals so we have decided to get her a flower wand made instead. Hoping it might appeal to her more and she will actually want to carry it lol x

    Thanks everyone for replies.
I was thinking of doing something similar Whovain, but already my head is picked with everything else lol.
One of the flowergirls - my OH niece, is walking down the aisle with a blackboard saying 'Uncle ****, here comes your bride' so her basket will already be at her seat for her to walk back up the aisle with.

Our flowers are already fairly expensive and over budget so I think I will just leave them to have the baskets!

My 2yr old daughter is our flower girl and she will have a little basket to scatter petals, that's if she doesn't just dump them all on the floor! Lol she also have a little wrist corsage that matches our bouquets and will have flowers in her hair. I was bothered at the beginning how she will do walking down the aisle but tbh I don't care anymore it's the least of my worries! Lol as long as she's happy!

My little sister (Aged5 at the time) had a ball of flowers with a ribbon that secured them on her wrist. (Not getting lost) We then had her walk down with my brother in law (Aged 7 at the time) as on the day she freaked because of all the people and she was first down the isle. So the young gentleman escorted her. It was so cute when I saw the photos a few weeks later.

My 2 year old Niece is my flowergirl and she is having a little basket with flowers in. Our flower lady is going to line it just in case she decides to fill it with dirt, stones etc!

my flowergirls are having little bouquets like mini versions of mine, as my little girl kept picking up the bouquets in shops and prancing around with them lol, if you want them to have baskets then I wouldn't worry about bouquests maybe you could put some flowers on the basket or petals in it if they church/ registry office allows you. whatever you choose will look lovely :) so i'd go with whatever you want them to have.

mine are having wands, they are in the shape of a sparkly butterfly with a rose in the center and trailing ribbons, they were not very expensive and something for them to keep to play princesses with after the big day:)

My flower girl is having a basket with flowers in it, she is only 2 so thought a small Bouquet would be a bit much for her to carry. Also she loves caring little bags around so a basket would be perfect for her. It's up to you what you want to do, I defiantly don't thing she should be carrying both but i do like the Ida of having a little bouquet on her chair for her to carry around though. X
