Just had a quote through for flowers and wanted to see if people think its a good quote (then again our previous one was over £600 so this has won by a mile!).

    Brides shower bouquet
    3 x bridesmaids posies
    Grooms double buttonhole
    5 x groomsmen buttonholes
    1 x best woman corsage
    2 x corsage for MOB/MOB

    £223

This is for real flowers, although the lady said it is just an estimate at the mo because she won't know exact prices of flowers until a few weeks before and we can change any blooms that become too expensive.

    Thoughts? X

Worth every penny. If you're happy with her work, book it, you'll be hard pushed to find cheaper without compromising quality.

My flower lady made me a mock bouquet with the quote so I knew what I'd be getting.

That sounds pretty good to me :-) We've budgeted £300 for flowers, but we haven't even started looking at florists yet.

Where did you get your flower quotes?

I did the quote thing on here and only got one and it was £600-£800 for a similar arrangement to this, am I best just going in to the local florists?

Makes me feel a bit better then! My grandad always gets my grandmas grave flowers from the same florist so will try them first thanks Kirsty :)

We went to a local florist this week. Her prices were ok but she didn't ask us to sit down, despite OH having a walking stick, offer us tea or anything! Just like she was taking an order for a standard bouquet for my Nan!! No enthusiasm at all. Next!

Ye deffiebtly make sure you have a sit down and a proper chat with anyone your booking weather it's the flowers venue or cake. I'm going for a cuppa and a chat at the ladies home who's making mine. My photographer I'm having a Skype call with, even though I have asked the questions over fb or email I still want to be able to sit down and have a proper chat with them xx

I'd say that's a pretty good deal. I can't really compare it with mine as I had artificial bouquets for me and the bridesmaids, and for the flowergirl's posie. Those were about £150. I did have real button holes, 10 of them for ushers, best men, groom and two fathers, and four corseges for two mothers, a female usher and a female witness. Those plus a front of church arrangement came to about £250-£300 if I remember rightly.
