After being engaged for 13 months, with 3 months to go until the wedding, we have had our first wedding argument!!

All concerning our seating plan for the wedding breakfast! I'm trying not to offend anyone and he doesn't care (I know he's right not to worry but i don't want anyone bad mouthing us on our big day!)

All sorted now, but here is a warning for all who are thinking they haven't argued yet - THE SEATING PLAN IS HELL!!!!

    xxxx

I have kind of done ours but when asking H2B his opinion he appeared not to have one so I think i will run it past my mum.

I'd love to just do the top table then let the others sort themselves out but I'd feel bad if couples/friends were split up!!

I think I might leave H2B to the sitting plan and only help him if he asks me! x

We went to a wedding without a seating plan and it was quite awkward. Everyone stood around not really too sure where to sit etc.. Plus we have some people that really can't sit with some, so have to tell them where they can sit! X

My fiancé is quite laid back about the seating plan, there was one moment where he said we should probably sit his mums best friend and her partner with so and so, I told him that no we were not sorting the seating plan around them as they are only invited for his mum so they can sit where there is space rather then having to break up groups of friends ect. who we actually want there, I also pointed out that just because his brothers know them does not mean that they would want to sit with them.... he agreed and then agreed with the rest of my table plan.

I did decide I'll probably sit his brothers (who are ushers) and their partners with my bridesmaids and partners as it just seems easier and he thought it was the best idea since sliced bread.... I'm a little unsure still but think it will work out

I did my seating plan with about 4 weeks to go. Don't do it till late because so much changes! I had to do 3 versions to accommodate last minute changes. For me, a piece of paper for each person and a mark for each table is the only way. I was quite happy with my final result and I think I worked hard to get people nearby each other. Anyone who isn't happy, well tough there was no better option, I tried them all! Lol

I've got to admit, I am so glad we're skipping the wedding breakfast - a. to save some money and b. to avoid the dreaded seating plan! Whenever I've been to a wedding - it doesn't bother me where I've been seated - Im happy to be a guest and share the day. Hope everyone gets theirs sorted without too much stress xx

I have 6weeks to go and still haven't done my table plan we have 31 for the day and are having a large oval table but h2bs mum and dad have seperated and both sides of his family don't get on, god knows how I'm going to make it work on an oval table but that's what WE want so if people can't be civil for just one day they can go home x

our table plan has worked out pretty well so far but im still waiting for final RSVPs for H2B's army friends - that could cause a problem if i cant fit them all on one table though! my worst thing was the guest list - had a few arguments with my mom about that one! x

Getting the RSVPs back is bad enough his family keep asking to bring such and such instead of husbands its going to be hell because none of them are letting me know for definate so I won't know what name to write on the place cards or if they are bringing they're child and partner

I did our seating plan. I asked Dan to give it the once over when I was finished and he made a couple of suggestions, but I didn't ask anyone else about it. At the end of the day I tried to put people together who either knew each other already or would have something in common. Other than the families, where I separated all the "oldies" and mixed up the two families. No-one complained about it ... or of they did I didn't hear about it!
